Turn Back the Pendulum 4- A Mix of Blood
On the lines of battle, the assigned shinigami prepared to face the arrancar head on. Bishamon was in the front of battle team. He ran forward with zanpakuto and sliced through the hollows in the way. Ryu quickly assassinated one of the hollows but was stabbed in the arm by an arrancar.
Ryu: Dammit! >.<
Jiro came from behind the arrancar and cut his head clear off, blood spewing out of it vertically as the arrancar?s head fell to the ground. Suddenly more powerful arrancar came out of the open garganta gate.
Bishamon: O_O What? They?re stronger?Everyone, do not let your guard down for one second. They?re getting more powerful! This next wave is Gillian Class, but next come the Adjucas!
Everyone fought valiantly as the hollows and arrancar came out nonstop through the open garganta gate. Lara sliced through a few hollow and blocked incoming cero blasts. She landed on the ground and formed a seal on it.
Lara: Everyone! Jump, now!!!!!!!!!! Get on the tallest structure you can find!! Hadou #85: Nenshou Tochi Gaeshi!
Lara slammed both her hands on the ground and they began to glow red. Everyone else jumped onto the tallest structure they could find. Lara concentrated and then the hadou spell took effect. The entire battlefield began to glow red and immediately, every hollow and arrancar that was on, or even touching, the ground burst into flames. The red flames engulfed their entire bodies until they became nothing more than ash. After the last of them turned to ash, another wave of even more powerful arrancar came out of the garganta.
Lara: O_O What?! Dammit!
Rei: ?so?here they come.
Adjucas menos came out now along with adjucas-class arrancar. The arrancar were each wearing a blood red shroud that was tied to their arms. There were 11 of them, 4 arrancar and 7 adjucas hollows. Ryu went after one of the arrancar.
Arrancar: Who are you?
Ryu: 2nd Division Lieutenant, Ryu.
Arrancar: Okay, Ryu. Prepare to die!
Ryu flash stepped behind the arrancar and cut his shoulder, but the arrancar?s hierro protected him. He attacked Ryu with his zanpakuto and sliced Ryu across the torso. The arrancar began to choke Ryu and held him up with one hand.
Arrancar: Now, let us become one >=)
Ryu: ACK!! *gasp*
Ryu gasped for breathe as the arrancar kept choking him and soon, they began to merge together until the arrancar took over Ryu?s body. Their body structures mixed together and Ryu began bubbling with a white substance that surrounded his body and crushed him. The substance expanded and soon exploded, creating a kickup of dust. When the dust cleared, Ryu had a complete hollow mask on his face, red eyes, and he was gigantic. His hands were covered by a structure of bone that formed blades. He looked toward his fellow lieutenants and the other captains and attacked them. Everyone jumped back in surprise.
Akira: O_O That?s??Ryu??????
Bishamon: What the hell?s going on?
Lara: Be careful, we can?t hurt Ryu!
Kenshin: That?s if he doesn?t hurt us first! *runs toward Ryu*
Hanzou: Kenshin, what are you doing?! Don?t attack him!
Kenshin: He?s beyond help now. Ryu would've want us to end this misery. He can?t continue like this. We have to kill him to save him!
Bishamon: Kenshin?s right. There?s no other way we can save him in this situation.
Hanzou: ????>_< Fine?
Hanzou jumped into the air and slashed at Ryu, but Ryu simply blocked his sword with his arm and pushed Hanzou away. Ryu roared and in front of him formed a sphere of reiatsu. It kept growing and was blood red. Lightning and insane amounts of spiritual energy charged around it as it was about to be fired.
Bishamon: Lara, watch out, it?s aimed at you!
Hanzou: GAHH!!!
Kenshin: O_O HANZOU!
An arrancar had attacked Hanzou and began to merge with him just as the other arrancar had done with Ryu. Soon Hanzou became a hollow as well, but he wasn?t as big as Ryu. Lara jumped out of the way of the cero, but when it hit the spot that Lara was before, it exploded in a deadly blast that destroyed the entire battlefield. Lara fell to the ground severely wounded. Two other adjucas hollows began to merge with Yoshi and Kazuki and they too transformed into hollows. One by one, hollows and arrancar merged with the shinigami until soon it was just Lara, Rei, Bishamon, and Kenshin left.
Kenshin: Dammit. Everyone has hollowfied.
Lara: They didn?t hollowfy.
Bishamon: What?
Rei: The hollows absorbed them and fused body and soul properties.
Kenshin: How do you know this?
Bianca: Because?they?re my subordinates.
Bishamon: O_O Bianca? What?re you doing here?!
Kenshin: Commander Captain, I think?I knew it. I knew there was something suspicious about you, Captain Bianca. But not you, Captain Lara. Or Captain Rei?
Bianca: You guessed right about me. Unfortunately its too late. Your friends have been fused with the hollows. And now, a new breed will come when your friends settle down. The complete Sangre!
Bishamon: Sangre? What the hell?
Bianca: By absorbing the blood and soul of these shinigami, the arrancars? and hollows? powers are multiplied by the reiatsu factor of the shinigami that they absorb.
Bishamon: You used us?this was all your doing after all, wasn?t it?!
Bianca: Of course. And now?we must go.
Bishamon: You think you?ll get away with this?! Central 46 can?t refuse a claim from the Commander Captain!
Lara: We?ll see about that.
The hollowed shinigami all fell down to the ground, unconscious. Bishamon chased after Bianca, Rei, and Lara but they disappeared before he could catch them, leaving nothing but a pool of blood on the ground. Bishamon and Kenshin walked over to the unconscious shinigami whose hollow transformations had suddenly ended abruptly.
Kenshin: ??we failed.
Bishamon: Not yet. Kenshin, come with me. There?s somewhere I want you to help me take them to. Mamorimasu, AwaiNaito.
A green sphere of reiatsu surrounded Bishamon and the unconscious shinigami. Kenshin touched the sphere but it was completely solid when he touched it.
Kenshin: This is pretty cool, Commader Captain.

Bishamon drilled the sphere underground for a few minutes and when they came above ground, they were in a large metal room full of computers and research work.
Kenshin: This is the Research Bureau. Are we allowed in here?
Bishamon: I was once part of the Research Bureau. I made something here?I called it the hogyoku 2.0, modeled after the invention by Kisuke Urahara. I increased its success percentage rate from 20% to 95%. I think it?s our only chance of saving them.
Kenshin: What?re you going to try to do?
Bishamon: Separate the hollows from their souls?U_U
Meanwhile in an underground tunnel somewhere in Seireitei, Hanzou limped through it with his hand over his stomach wound.
Lara: So, are you happy now?
Hanzou: Yes?but I don?t think I?ll be able to come any more. They already saw what happened to me.
Lara: Hey! A deal?s a deal. You wanted hollow powers, and you got it. Now, you?ll help us accomplish our goal, or else *places hand of sword hilt*.
Hanzou: I?d like to see you try and defeat me. But either way, I?ll do it.
