Chapter 9- The Sun
Roku: Here we go. >
Roku unsheathed his zanpakuto as he charged at Antono, but Antono blocked the attack with his bare hands. Roku recognized the hierro’s power and decided it was futile to try to beat with the strike already performed. He jumped back and threw a small chain at Antono. The chain glowed orange and exploded, and in the wake of the explosion, Antono rushed out to attack Roku with his fist. Roku grabbed Antono’s fist and flipped him in the air behind him, but Antono recovered in the air and returned with a kick to meet Roku’s side stomach. Antono kicked Roku into the sand about five meters away. Roku got up.
Roku: You’re pretty good, Espada. *holds out hand and points it at Antono* Hadou #63: Raikohou!!!
Antono: O_O?
A shot of yellow lightning blasted out of Roku’s hand and headed toward Antono, but the arrancar slapped it away with his hand. He didn’t even flinch. Antono used sonido to disappear and reappear in front of Roku and attack him his sword. Roku bended backward quickly to avoid the attack and as he did, he kicked Antono’s sword out of his hands and jumped up to grab the blade. When Roku grasped the blade, he flung it away from the battlefield.
Antono: What the hell?!
Roku: Now that you’ve got no weapon, I can cut you down without worrying about a counterattack due to your hierro. U_U
Roku flashed stepped forward and sliced through Antono’s hierro to cut him across the shoulder. Blood spewed out of his shoulder and Antono quickly reacted by chasing after his sword. Roku followed him but Antono was able to grab his zanpakuto before Roku could catch up to him…
Antono: That’s a real under-handed trick you just used. >:[
Roku: What can I say? I’m known for doing things that are way over-the-top. But for you, I can refrain from doing such things
Antono: Don’t joke around with me. I’ll kill you!
Antono slashed his sword at Roku and Roku blocked the attack by hitting his zanpakuto against Antono’s whilst preparing a kido spell in his other hand, and the ground shook and the sand rippled at the force of two.
Antono: You sure like kidou, don’t you, shinigami?
Roku: Not really :| But it’s a fitting technique to use against you. After all, you Sangre aren’t even worth fighting at full power.
Antono: What’d you say, shinigami? Don’t belittle us!
Antono kicked Roku up into the air and delivered a powerful blow to his face. Roku blocked the final punch with his arms but went flying backward. They were in the air now. Antono sonidoed behind Roku and hit him in the back with his elbow. Roku coughed up blood and fell to the ground.
Antono: It’s already over, shinigami. I’ve even forgotten your name! >=D
Antono charged a cero in his hands and it became more and more powerful as he kept charging it. The cero then turned grey and fired at Roku. Roku grabbed his zanpakuto and hit the cero with it, colliding the two and making a small rip in the cero, causing it to go off in two directions. The cero cleared after an additional blast made an explosion on the battlefield and around where Roku was.
Roku: If you’ve forgotten my name already, don’t you dare forget my zanpakuto’s name. Shine Upon all Things (Terasu)…Kintsuki. U_U
Roku’s zanpakuto glowed brightly with blinding yellow light and extended into a long katana-nodachi. The blade itself was brightly shining and reflected the light of the moon in Hueco Mundo to look like the surface of water. He swung his blade down and a ring of reiatsu shocked outward. Antono looked in surprise.
Antono: That’s an odd zanpakuto. Why does it look like water even though it’s a gold blade?
Roku: That’s something you’ll have to find out. :|
Antono fired another cero from the tip of his fingers and Roku dodged it with his shunpo and immediately flash stepped out of sight for a split-second and reappeared behind Antono. He had his back turned on him and suddenly, Antono’s hand was covered in plasma and a gold fire. It began to burn him and he shook it off and tried to put it out in the sand. But what surprise Antono was the fact that he could not pull his hand out of the sand because it was seemingly stuck.
Antono: What the hell’d you do?
Roku: It seems you don’t know your own land well enough. Hueco Mundo’s sand is actually quartz sand. It’s one of the main parts of glass. With the fire on your hand and when you stuck your hand into the sand, the sand immediately turned into glass.
Antono: Hmph. >=( The fire...it was....
Roku: You felt it didn’t you. The sun flames. U_U Along with Ryuujin, Kintsuki is Soul Society’s most powerful fire-based zanpakuto and the most powerful solar-zanpakuto. I’ve barely scratched the surface of its abilities.
Antono: Then shall I uncover the rest of those abilities? Take this!
Antono took his zanpakuto, which was a long wakizashi, and drew a circle around his hand which was stuck in the sand. Immediately, the glass underneath turned back into sand and Antono pulled out his hand to draw a line in the sand followed by several (5) arrows pointing toward Roku in the sand.
Roku: What's he doing now...?
Antono: Sangre Ira!
The drawings in the sand glowed blood-red and rose up into the air. One of the five arrows fired at Roku and he swatted the first two aside with his sword like they were nothing, but when the thrid arrow approached, its reiatsu was much greater and when Roku blocked it, it left a small burrowed path in the sand along the way it was fired.
Roku: Whoa. Cool technique. (That’s strange. The arrows are getting stronger as they are fired)…show me another one.
Antono fired the 4th arrow and it had far greater strength than the other three arrows. Roku blocked it but struggled with it a little.
Roku: Wait a minute All of these arrows; they are the equivalent of…
Antono: So you’ve noticed. Yes! Each arrow represents the strength of a sword strike by a powerful hollow of certain levels. The first two represented Hollows and Huge Hollows. The third represented Gillian. And the fouth, it was adjucas! And this…*fires the 5th* is a Sangre’s!
The arrow ripped through the air and charged toward Roku with amazing speed and power. Roku’s sword glowed and he spoke…
Roku: Blade of 1000 Suns. >=|
Roku’s sword surrounded in golden reiatsu and it easily deflected the last arrow and even sliced it in half. The halves of the arrow that were sliced were covered in Sun Fire and began to melt.
Roku: This is the power of Kintsuki. Fear it well. U_U … Shikai Attack #1: Golden Lord of the Sea!
A crescent-shaped mass of highly condensed golden spiritual pressure that also scattered shining water as hot as plasma across the battlefield shot out toward Antono. The wave was like a gold getsuga tenshou but it was solar and as it charged at Antono, the water splashed in different areas around the battlefield. The water was like normal water but glowed with a gold aura. Antono held his zanpakuto in front of him and fired a cero by swinging it, but when the cero collided with the attack, it was beaten and the solar wave went on to hit Antono. Antono crashed into the sand and with that kicked a huge mass of it up into the air to fall back down on him, creating a mound of sand.
Antono: *pant* *pant* Damn. >_< I should’ve charged a Sangre Cero instead.
Roku: I think we should put an end to this.
Antono moved before Roku was finished speaking and grabbed Roku’s arm from behind and slammed his elbow into it. Roku turned in awe and cursed at the pain. He used his feet to help him into the air and kick Antono away from him. Antono stumbled back, but he recoiled and struck with his zanpakuto. Roku blocked the attack with his left was immediately overpowered due to his lack of skill with his left hand. Roku prepared to fire another wave of solar energy while Antono prepared a dark blue Sangre Cero that spiraled unusually counterclockwise than the usual clockwise of a regular cero and weaker Sangre ceros. Suddenly, a figure in a cloaked black robe appeared between the two and placed their hands on the cero and on Roku’s blade, stopping the attacks from proceeding any further.
???: It’s time to go.
Antono: Now, Mistress BiBi?
BiBi: Yes. Let’s go. You provided some good entertainment for me, Captain-san.
Roku: What? O_O
BiBi: We’re going. *opens Garganta*
Antono: Don’t forget my name, Kiyoshi. Next time we meet, I’ll end it for sure.
Roku: O_O Wait!…*jumps toward the garganta*
The Garganta closed before Roku could reach it.
Roku: Dammit!

Byakuya: Senkei, Senbonzakura Kageyoshi
???: Hmm....interesting technique. I hope all these swords aren't coming down on me > That would really suck.
Byakuya: Don't worry. I save this attack for those who I have sworn to kill by my own hand.
???: Too bad, shinigami.
Byakuya's arm was suddenly sliced through and cut off completely. The person who had cut it off had a grey zanpakuto and green hair. Their haori was a blood-red robe and they were carrying several other swords. Byakuya was stared at his arm in stunned silence. The person then sliced through his chest and Byakuya fell to the ground.
Zero Division Unit Officer: O_O Commander Kuchiki...has...fallen! O_O
2nd Division Unit Officer (2): What'll we do. There's no way we can beat this guy if he was able to beat Captain Kuchiki! We have to...
???: Don't worry about a single thing. We'll take care of these guys.
Two men, one wearing a straw hat with a black and white hakama covered by a pink flowered haori, and the other wearing red and white hakama, walked past the other shinigami. The man with the straw had had wavy brown hair and facial hair, and the one behind him had long white hair, but it looked more silvery than white.
???: Now then, shall we begin? *smirks*
