Chapter 35- The Puppetmaster and the Ice Princess
Andy: Hmm?what?s your name, shinigami?
Carlie: 4th Division Captain and Head of the Medical Relief Division, Haruno, Carlie. Nice to meet you. *unsheathes zanpakuto*
Andy: Wow?a shinigami that?s actually going to fight me. You?ve got guts woman. Especially for a Medical Relief Captain. Your specialty isn?t really swordsmanship, is it?
Carlie: You have no idea *smirks*
Andy charged at Carlie and performed a spinning kick which knocked Carlie 200 feet away. Andy pointed his finger at Carlie a powerful green cero began to charge. Carlie drew her zanpakuto and remained calm. Andy fired the powerful cero blast and it raged toward Carlie quickly and approached her in a matter of seconds. Carlie held her zanpakuto to the side and its white hilt sparkled.
Carlie: Freeze the World, Yuukihime!
Carlie?s sword changed into a scythe with a white reaper blade with an icy aura. The three ribbons at the end of the scythe turned into snakes and they hissed. Carlie pulled her scythe back and then heaved it horizontally at the cero, spinning toward the blast. The cero collided with the reaper blade of Yuukihime and began to rip through the cero until it exploded in a huge radius. Andy looked very surprised
Carlie: Was that it?
Andy: That was my strongest cero?you b*tch. I?ll teach you not to make a fool of me. *takes out a shard* This here is a hogyouku shard. If I stab it into any part of my body, I become an arrancar. Then, you?re done for. *stabs shard into hand*
Andy?s reiatsu disappeared for a moment, and then it exploded and surprised everyone except for Bianca. Andy was surrounded by dark green reiatsu and then suddenly, his hollow mask and everything that made him hollow-looking shattered. Andy was human again. He smirked. The only things left from his hollow mask were cuffs on his right and left wrists. Andy flew at Carlie with increased speed and they clashed zanpakutos. He attacked again and again, but Carlie blocked each of his attacks. Andy kept attacking Carlie, and as he did, he charged a cero in his mouth. Carlie jumped backward and tried to keep her distance but Andy immediately fired the cero when she moved backward. Only a few meters from Carlie, the cero suddenly exploded. As the smoke cleared, standing with his hand out was Toshiro Hitsugaya, who had just blocked the cero with his bare hand.
Toshiro: Hmm?that was cero was quite weak because you didn?t fully charge it. But by observing the spiritual energy and the Reishi difference between you and that cero, I can tell that you are on the same level as Petre Antonescu or perhaps weaker.
Carlie: Captain Hitsugaya? What are you doing? *notices something* O_O
Not too far from where Carlie was, Komamura had just called forth the entire armored warrior.
Komamura: Bankai! Kokujou Tenken Myou!
Kenshin: O_O Amazing.
Toshiro: So?Komamura was forced to use bankai after all. It?s obvious that you won?t be able to take him on in your current state. Let me handle this?I?ll?
Carlie: NO! Captain Hitsugaya, please move. I can handle this on my own. I don?t need help.
Toshiro: O_O
Carlie: Please?this is my fight?I will prove to you that we Medical Shinigami can do more than just heal.
Toshiro: ??????Alright. Just be careful?*disappears*
Carlie: Now, where were we?
Andy: Hmph. He?s overprotective of you. That?s quite strange for a Captain to act that way around fellow captains, wouldn?t you agree.
Carlie: Toshiro-kun trained me with my ice abilities. I have him to thank for me becoming as strong as I am today.
Carlie flash stepped in front of Andy and swung her scythe at his head, but Andy ducked, avoiding the attack. He tried to stab Carlie in the gut, but she jumped up and landed on his blade. Carlie stamped her foot back, flipping up Andy?s zanpakuto and grabbing it by the hilt. She swung her scythe which missed Andy, and then she immediately attacked Andy with his own zanpakuto, but he grabbed the blade and pulled at Carlie, throwing her high into the air and causing her to let go of Andy?s sword. Andy had slightly cut his palm but his hierro protected him from cutting his entire hand open. Andy charged at Carlie with his sword pointed at her, ready to stab, and Carlie knocked his sword aside with her zanpakuto and made an ice ring around Andy. The ice ring thickened and then closed in on Andy, binding him. Carlie stepped back and held Yuukihime up. It glowed ice-blue and she brought the scythe down on Andy, but her scythe barely scratched him because of his hierro. Andy broke out of the ice ring that bound him and he punched Carlie in the face, sending her plummeting to the ground. Carlie looked at the ground below and then she threw Yuukihime down to it. The moment the scythe hit the ground, a large cushion of snow formed and Carlie landed directly in it, safe from harm.
Carlie: *sigh*
Carlie held her sword diagonally to her top left of her shoulder.
Carlie: Icy Blaze!
The middle snake on Carlie?s hilt hissed and began to breathe out a huge amount of icy blue fire towards Andy. Andy tried to blow the fire away with a swing of his zanpakuto and spiritual energy, but the icy blue fire continued toward him, and when it hit, he froze in a blast of ice!
Carlie: It?s over?O_O
Andy?s eyes grew wider within the frozen blast of ice. He gave an angry look to Carlie then looked at his zanpakuto, which he was holding.
Andy: Stitch?T?tere (Puppet)
Carlie: Ban?o_o
Andy?s zanpakuto blade split into ten blue-glowing strings and the hilt of his zanpakuto disappeared. He broke out of the ice and he was engulfed by a mass of dark green reiatsu which seemed to melt on him. When it ?melted? off of Andy, he was no long human-like. He looked just like a puppet. The ten strings were attached to his hands, one string on one finger of each hand. He jerked his head to the side and turned it completely around, and then he opened his mouth to fire a small rocket missile at Carlie. Carlie created a large shield of ice to protect her from the missile, although the missile just burst through the shield and exploded when it made contact with Carlie?s sword. The smoke cleared. Carlie was scratched, injured, and bruised. She panted heavily and Andy smiled.
Andy: You almost used your bankai?what happened, shinigami?
Carlie: I hesitated?because I wasn?t sure if I was in the right position to use it. But I have no doubts now. BANKAI!
Carlie?s reiatsu surrounded her but didn?t explode, although the effect of it was cold and poisoning. It felt like the earth was shaking because of her, and as if the air had suddenly turned into a heavy deadly gas. Carlie?s snakes turned crimson-colored and her scythe grew more powerful. On her head formed a tiara made of ice and Captain haori became ice. She whispered a few words.
Carlie: Akari no Yuukihime U_U
Carlie?s image suddenly disappeared. Flash step! She appeared in front of Andy, much to his surprise and she swung her scythe at him with force so great that it made the air around them scatter. The scythe slammed hard into Andy?s arm and sliced it clear off. A bit of blood dropped onto the scythe blade of Carlie?s zanpakuto and it froze and disapperared. Andy barely flinched and punched Carlie with his other arm, sending her flying back in confusion.
Carlie: It?s like he didn?t even feel that?wait a minute. He?s a puppet basically, so he must feel no pain.
Andy: Bingo! *smirks*
Andy grabbed his severed arm and reattached it to himself. Andy jerked his elbow up to point at Carlie and a slot opened up, holding something in it.
Carlie: Another missile? O_O
Andy: That?s what you think!
Andy?s elbow began to glow and suddenly, a dark green cero was charging its amount of energy was so great that everyone was shocked by it.
Andy: Cero Missile!
The cero was fired, but instead of a straight blast, the cero was a more condensed, powerful sphere that shot out at Carlie with great speed. The snakes on Carlie?s zanpakuto fell off and began to slither around each other.
Carlie: Akari no Hebi! (Crimson Snake)
The snakes merged together and grew into one large, crimson-colored snake that made a hiss that struck fear into the very core of many. As the cero charged at Carlie, the giant Crimson snake opened its mouth wide and charged at the cero missile, swallowing it whole. The snake smirked, but suddenly its stomach bulged. It inflated and then a small part of the snake popped open and soon the entire snake exploded, spilling its guts and body fluids all over the place. Carlie sighed and looked toward Andy with complete and total concentration on him. Her eyes shone icy blue and they glowed brightly with the intent to kill. Carlie held both her hands out, palm faced-up, and her zanpakuto floated in the air. Above each palm, a disk of ice materialized from the moisture in the atmosphere and they were extremely sharp. She grabbed each on in each of her hands and then threw then simultaneously at Andy. Andy though he could block them with his enhanced hierro so he held both arms up and to block each disk, but the disks sliced both his arms off with extreme ease and froze the severing point so that Andy could never reattach them. He gave an angry look at Carlie and then fired multiple bala blasts at her, which Carlie began to flash step rapidly in order to avoid them. Carlie took 6 steps backward and held Yuukihime over her shoulder with both hands.
Carlie: Sakuzen Hyou (Dry Ice)
The blade of the scythe glowed white and then Carlie swung it at Andy, releasing a huge wave of dry ice in the process of swinging it. Andy kept firing his bala blasts, but they were nothing against the Dry Ice and he was frozen solid. Carlie let out a sigh of relief.
Carlie: It?s finally over?*sigh*
Andy: ??????*twitch* ?*breaks out of the dry ice with a burst of energy*
Carlie:
WHAT?! There?s no way!
Ragnaroc: Impossible! O_O
Akira: He broke out of Carlie?s dry ice. O_O
Andy: Damn you! It took all of my reiatsu to break out of there! *charges at Carlie*
Andy rushed toward Carlie with speed that was so much greater than before that he reached Carlie before she could even prepare to counterattack, but she managed to psychically create a circular shield of ice after Andy kicked her away and charged toward her again. His arms came flying toward him and reattached after breaking the ice in the severed regions. The shield of ice followed Carlie, but Andy punched right through it. Though Andy seemed to break through the shield with ease, due to the extreme sharpness of the ice shield, it cut the back of his hand in several places. Andy choked Carlie and turned his other hand into a blade. Carlie looked panicked and struggled to escape Andy?s grip, but couldn?t.
Andy: DIE! Shinigami!
Andy thrusted his sword-hand down at Carlie?s jugular vein, but came to a sudden stop. His eyes widened and then his grip on Carlie?s neck loosened. Carlie broke free and smiled.
Andy: What the?O_O
Carlie: What you are experiencing is Yuukihime?s signature technique. I?ve been preparing this since the time I sliced your arm off. The blood that landed on my scythe didn?t just freeze and shatter, it was absorbed. Over time, my ice has been freezing your body from the inside out. And now, you can?t even move. In two minutes, your entire body will be completely frozen, and within half an hour, you will die.
Andy: O_O No! You bitch. Put me out of this misery now!
Carlie: No?you will experience true pain, Arrancar.
Andy: NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! O_O
Andy?s head fell off of his neck and fell to the ground. Carlie, surprised, looked up. There was Devlin with his sword outward, dripping with blood.
Devlin: He was going to die anyway?so I put him out of his misery. U_U
Carlie: O_O
Devlin: Prepare to die?
Uryu: Hey! Don?t count us out yet?:|
Akira: O_O Well, looks like Carlie won. So?what?s new?
Daiki: Nothing much, Captain Akira.
Akira: It?s Drake now?
Daiki: Oh. You changed your name. Well, that?s nice. But you know?it makes no difference in this fight. You ready?
Drake: Bring it. *smirks*
