Chapter 32- It Begins
The battle begins…on the Soul Society Side, Zanji Uchiha led some of the other captains. This included Roku, Ragnaroc, Rukia, Toshiro, and Hisagi. Bianca was commanding four others: Rei, Lara, Hanzou, and Leon. Bishamon and his group all stood without their swords because Bishamon himself was carrying them in a container on his back. He dropped it on the air next to him and tossed everyone their swords. Kenshin, Daiki, Jiro, Ryu, Kazuki, and Yoshi all grabbed their swords when it was thrown.
Ragnaroc: Zanji, you’re joining the battle immediately?
Zanji: If it’s necessary…
Rei: Bianca, are you going to fight, or leave it to Leon or Hanzou to handle?
Bianca: I’ll step in later. We must save our energy and reiatsu. That’s why we have Leon…but…
Lara: *unsheathes zanpakuto* Don’t worry. My spiritual power is much greater than Leon’s, so I’ll have plenty to spare.
Lara appeared in front of Ragnaroc and attacked, but Ragnaroc drew his sword just as she was about to strike and parried her slash. Rag struggled and Lara overpowered him by using both of her hands. Ragnaroc flew back and held his sword in both hands. Lara flew at Rag with great speed but was stopped a pure white blade with a thin but long tassel at the end of the handle.
Rukia: Tsugi no Mai…(Second Dance)
Lara: O_O
Rukia: Hakuren! (White Ripple)
Sode no Shirayuki glowed white and from the entire blade came a huge wave of pure white ice that blasted in front of Lara point-blank, freezing her and some birds that were in the way. Rukia smirked.
Rukia: One down.
Lara:
The ice cracked and quickly shattered. Lara was free, and with her freedom, she released a mass of her reiatsu, which shook the skies and surprised Jiro, Ryu, Hanzou, Rukia, and even Hisagi. Rukia was stunned for a moment by Lara’s reiatsu and barely had enough time to react when Lara struck her with her sword. The force of Lara’s attack was too great for Rukia and the captain plummeted down to the ground.
Roku: Rukia! O_O
Zanji: Silence! She’ll be fine. *looks at Leon*
Leon: Don’t glare at me, Zanji…
Zanji: So you remember me?
Leon: Of course…
Daiki: I’m bored. I need to fight someone strong, or I’m gonna die of boredom. *yawns* 0_o *steps forward*
Yoshi: He’s feeling confident today.
Kazuki: Tell me about it. He’d just better not…
Yoshi: Get his ass kicked.
Kenshin: Quiet, guys. Daiki’s strong. He’ll be fine.
Jiro: Yeah, whatever.
Roku: *looks at Kenshin with the intent to kill*
Kenshin: O_O Sorry Roku…but I refuse to fight you.
Roku: What’s wrong Kenshin? Are you scared?
Bishamon: Hey Zanji, let’s go at it. Put on a good show for everyone else. After all, it isn’t often that one gets to see the great Zanji Uchiha fight.
Zanji: Sorry. I’ll try to bring it down a notch so you can keep up, former Captain Commander.
Bishamon: Tch… >_>
Lara: Hadou #90: Kurohitsugi (Black Coffin)!
Rukia: Bankai! Rando no…
The black coffin closed on Rukia and she was sliced up badly, but due to her quick reflexive use of bankai, she was able to save herself from absolute defeat. Rukia’s sword shattered and all that remained was the hilt.
Lara: How do you plan on fighting me with a broken sword?
Rukia: We’ll see…
Rukia charged at Lara with her stubbed blade and went in to jab, but Lara took her sword and stabbed it into Rukia’s shoulder. Rukia kept her sword pointed at Lara.
Rukia: San no Mai (Third Dance), Shirafune (White Sword)
Rukia’s blade reformed and as it did, it pierced through Lara’s left arm. Lara backed away after ripped the blade out of her arm. Blood dripped from where the piercing was made and Lara became infuriated.
Lara: You’ll pay for that…
Lara’s zanpakuto’s blade glowed silver-white and she charged at Rukia. Rukia created an ice shield in front of her, but with a overhead sweeping downward slash, Lara’s sword shattered through the ice shield, broke Rukia’s sword, and cut Rukia across the chest while emitting a white streak in the path that Lara’s blade swept down on Rukia. Rukia fell to the ground and hit the ground so hard that a crater formed, alerting the locals with the loud noise.
Lara: *smirks*
Daiki: Woah. She seems strong, maybe I should fight her.
Ryu: She’s way out of your league, Daiki.
Daiki: Nah..you guys haven’t noticed yet, but my Vizard powers have been completely mastered.
Yoshi and Kazuki: Really?! O_O
Daiki: Yeah. now I need a fight to prove myself.
Hisagi: HEY!
Daiki: *looks at Hisagi* Oh…hehehe…Hisagi Shuuhei, right? So you’ve become a captain. That’s good to see. How about a duel, Hisagi?
Hisagi: Fine with me…*unsheathes zanpakuto*
Daiki: This’ll be over quickly. *unsheathes zanpakuto*
