Chapter 31- The Meaning of Power
The commander captain was approaching the center of the Las Noches dome, not even phased by the constant quakes of power that was taking place due to the other fights. Zanji could sense a great deal of spiritual pressure ahead. He unsheathed his zanpakuto and walked with it to his side. Suddenly, the ceiling above him broke and a Sangre with immense spiritual pressure fell before him with one knee on the ground. The Sangre had black curly hair and his hollow mask in the form of an artist’s hat.
Zanji:
???: Segunda Espada *stands up* Leonardo Da Vinci VIII. *smirks* You’ve graced me with your presence, Captain. Which one are you?
Zanji: Zanji Uchiha, 1st Division Captain and Ca…
Leonardo: Well, let’s skip your long introduction. We don’t have much time anyway. *unsheathes zanpakuto on back*
Zanji: Straight to it O_O. I can live with that *unsheathes zanpakuto* Are you ready, Espada?
Leonardo: Bring it on.
Zanji appeared behind Leonardo and kicked him into the wall very quickly. The smoke cleared and Leonardo got up, but his lip was bleeding.
Zanji: What? Are you going to cry? This isn’t what I’d expect from a 2nd Espada. But, I can’t blame you. You are going up against me, who has surpassed even Yamamoto sensei.
Leonardo used his sonido to appear in front of Zanji and slashed at him, but Zanji blocked the attack with ease and parried the slash to push Leonardo back. Zanji swung his sword once and the mere force of the swing created a powerful burst of wind that surprised Leonardo.
Zanji: Impressive. Most captain-level shinigami would’ve been knocked back from that swing.
Leonardo: You’re spiritual power is great…almost as admirable as our Mistress’s. Perhaps there is no time for me to hold back, at least not against you.
Zanji: Well, be my guest. I have plenty of time. *points fingers at Leonardo* Burst with Force…Hado #1…
Leonardo: Ehh? A level one spell with an incantation? Come on Captain Commander, I expected better… *sighs*
Zanji: Shou!
Zanji’s finger released a bursting pulse of spiritual pressure, but the burst was huge and it knocked Leonardo nineteen feet back, making him skid against the ground on his feey, and it also destroyed and shattered the ground and walls of the area directly in front of him for a length of two feet around.
Leonardo: I underestimated you. The reason you used an incantation for that spell was to test the stability of this fortress, because obviously, you didn’t direct the entire force of the attack at me when you could have. So, what did you think?
Zanji: Impressive. You were able to read my attack’s exact power direction and force. This won’t do, however. The moment I release my shikai, this part of the fortress will collapse.
Leonardo: Then let’s see that then.
Zanji: You’re still not strong enough for me to use my shikai against. Such an act would be a waste of spiritual energy.
Zanji charged at Leonardo and they clashed swords. Leonardo grabbed Zanji’s blade and moved it to the side to create an opening on Zanji and attempt to stab him with his sword, but Zanji bent backward, dodging the stab and he kicked up to knock Leonardo into the air. When Leonardo was sent flying, he put his index finger and thumb together and at the tip, a cero charged and he fired it. The cero blasted at Zanji but Zanji blocked the cero with his zanpakuto and hit it back to the side of Leonardo, missing him by just a few inches. Leonardo landed on his feet with a midair back flip.
Leonardo: You blocked my cero, but with effort. Let’s see what you can do against this then…
Leonardo pointed all five of his fingers on his right hand, switching his zanpakuto to his left hand, and on each of the tips of all five fingers formed a powerful rainbow-colored cero.
Leonardo: Arte Cero. >=D
The five ceros each fired at Zanji, although they were thin but highly concentrated with spiritual energy. Zanji flash stepped behind Leonardo to get out of the way, and the ceros exploded in a colorful blast that destroyed everything in the 30 ft radius.
Zanji: O_O Whew. That would’ve been bad.
Leonardo turned around and slashed at Zanji, but Zanji blocked the slash and kicked Leonardo back. Then, Zanji flew at Leonardo with exceptional speed and they clashed swords again, but this time Zanji’s slash was so powerful that he knocked Leonardo into the wall and made a hole the size of Leonardo. Leonardo got out of the depression in the wall and he stabbed his zanpakuto through his neck.
Leonardo: Chirp…Loro (Parrot)
Leonardo’s sword glowed rainbow-colored and it spread the color all over his skin. His reiatsu exploded and shook the entire remainder of the fortress, which began to crack. The cracks became wider and small rocks began to fall, and soon the entire fortress collapsed, revealing everyone who was in and out of it. Bianca and her subordinates could be seen about forty meters ahead of Zanji and Leonardo. Bianca’s expression was disappointing, but oddly nothing had fallen on her or a few feet around her. Not even the rocks had fallen near her or her throne. Zanji observed her and her surroundings for a moment.
Zanji: >=| A barrier……
Leonardo: Don’t take your eyes off your enemy! *appears behind Zanji with zanpakuto, ready to attack*
Zanji: *stands there* How disappointing. Sever…Raika.
Zanji’s zanpakuto took the form of a white longsword with a hook at the end and curved shell-like pipes that formed the hilt. Flames were being emitted from the pipes in of the sword.
Zanji: Fukkutama (Hook Shot)
The inside of the hook end of Zanji’s zanpakuto created a small, compressed sphere of fire that sparked greatly and burned with the heat of a million flames. Just as Leonardo was about to hit Zanji, Zanji spun around with his sword and hit the hook end against Leonardo’s sword. The ball of fire ripped right through Leonardo’s sword and hit the Espada in the heart where it set ablaze on Leonardo’s body, burning him, but leaving him barely alive.
Zanji: I’m surprised you survived that. Normally, anyone else would’ve turned to ash from that attack. Kudos…
Bianca: *sigh* Grimmjow…destroy him…
Grimmjow: Gladly!
Grimmjow flew at Zanji with incredible speed and approached him in a matter of seconds, his hand on the hilt of his sword. Just as he drew his sword and attacked Zanji, his strike was blocked by an oversized cleaver blade with a white edge. The air around him felt cold as well. Grimmjow smirked.
Grimmjow: Kurosaki…*smirks*
Ichigo: Sorry for the wait, Grimmjow.
Hanzou: Bianca, shouldn’t we help him?
Bianca: No…this is his fight. Besides, we still have time. Even if he loses, our plan won’t be effected one bit…*smirks*
At that moment, all of the captains and lieutenants assembled ten feet from the barrier and pulled out their swords, ready to attack. Bianca chuckled and got up from her throne.
Ragnaroc: Bianca, you won’t be forgiven! We’re going to kill you.
Bianca: Don’t be so harsh, Rag. Why would you say such a thing to your own sister, who raised you since you were a baby, in both lives.
Ragnaroc: >=(
Lara: Izuru, I’m glad to see you’ve grown so much. That makes me very proud of you…^.^
Grimmjow: Well, look who’s here. *looks at Roku*
Roku: O_O Grimmjow…what the hell?! You’re alive? How?
Grimmjow: You don’t need to know. I have important business with Kurosaki, but once I’m done, I’ll gladly give you a nice beating.
Roku: You can try ~_O
Ichigo: Roku, you know him? O_O

Rei: BiBi, it’s time to go.
Bianca: Right…*opens Garganta*
Right at the moment that Bianca opened the garganta gate, every single captain and lieutenant charged at Bianca and her followers with their swords aimed at one person each, and just as they approached, Bianca smirked.
Bianca: Come out…Leon.
Just as Bianca said that, a shockwave of pure energy burst outward all around Bianca and pushed back everyone. The person who had caused the burst was clocked in a black robe. He stood up and removed his hood, revealing himself. He looked just like Grimmjow, but he had small horizontal marks under his eyes, brown hair, and his hollow mask remnants were only part of his upper jaw.
Zanji: O_O That spiritual pressure…it can’t be! Leon Shneider.
Leon: :|
Bianca: You didn’t really expect me to allow my Espada to just go defeated that easily, did you? No…you must always have an ace in the hole… That Kido barrier should be down by now. Let’s go.
Bianca and her group, including Leon, walked through the Garganta and it shut before anyone could get through.
Ichigo: Dammit!
Grimmjow: Now it’s just me and all of you. Too easy! *kicks Ichigo aside*
Izuru: How are we supposed to get through? They’re going to steal the Chishiogan and then destroy Soul Society!
Ragnaroc: SHUTUP! Just watch…
Zanji: Roku…
Roku: Got it. *puts on a black glove with a lined pattern on it and walks to where Bianca’s garganta was* Here, right?
Roku ripped open a whole in space/time in the exact place where Bianca had opened her own garganta.
Roku: She apparently forgot about this invention. This garganta will only stay open for so long. *pocket beeps* O_O *takes out phone* What is it? ………………O_O The research Bureau says that they’ve tracked hollows, Gillian and Adjucas level, in Soul Society, and there are five large reiatsu sources. That must be Bianca, Lara, Rei, Hanzou, and Leon. There are also…65 arrancar?! O__O
Goro: She must’ve sent her entire army out there.
Rukia: So what are we going to do?
Zanji: ...I'll tell you what we'll do.
Location: Soul Society, 50 miles from Seireitei.
Bianca, Lara, Rei, Hanzou, and Leon stepped into the sky, where the Reishi particles were freely floating around due to the kido barrier remains, allowing them to walk on air. Bianca stepped forward and held the hougyoku up to the sun, but it suddenly shattered. She looked forward and a garganta gate had opened up one hundred feet in front of her group. Zanji stepped out. Behind him were four others: Roku, Ragnaroc, Toshiro, and Rukia. Hisagi appeared beside Zanji.
Hisagi: Commander Captain, we’ve prepared everything.
Zanji: Good.
Bianca: So, its six against five. That’s fair enough. :| But you should worry about your precious Soul Society.
Zanji: Don’t worry. As we speak, our other captains and lieutenants and other squad members are handling that right now.
Bianca: I applaud your confidence, but it will all end here.
???: YO! Did you all forget about us?!
Zanji:
Ragnaroc: Bisha…
Rei: :|
Bishamon: Team Bishamon has arrived. *smirks* Now…let’s get this started.
