Chapter 29- The Ash Lion and Ice Dragon
Matsumoto: Bankai!
The room rumbled. Ion looked in awe at the thing that he saw. It was so great that his jaw dropped.
Ion: 0_0 What is that?
Behind Matsumoto was a huge beast made entirely of ash, at least ten times taller than she was and much bigger. It’s teeth, made of ash, were sharp as blades and bigger than Matsumoto’s hands. The beast roared. Around its head was a mane of ash and on its nose, whiskers.
Matsumoto: Haikemono (Ash Beast)
Ion: Awesome. A lieutenant with a bankai is quite rare. Aren’t I lucky?
Matsumoto: Though I’m a lieutenant, I have the power enough to be a Captain Class shinigami, although my Captain would never permit that. And besides, I like serving under him.
Ion: Well I’m Captain Level right now…so we should be even. Tell me…do you fear death lieutenant *charges cero*
Matsumoto: A beast is nothing more than a mindless mound of terror, but with a king—the one who commands it—a beast can be so much more than it really is. Roar!
Ion fired a green cero at Matsumoto, but then the beast of ash roared and the cero was completed negated at sent back at Ion, exploding when it made contact with him. Ion came out of the smoke bloody and scarred.
Ion: Dammit! >_< *charges powerful cero* Sangre Cero!
Matsumoto: Hai Unari! (Ash Roar)
The cero shot out at Rangiku and the ash lion behind her roared and a blast of ash shot out at the cero. The clashed for a few seconds, and the cero started to defeat the ash blast, but Matsumoto increased her reiatsu output and then the ash attack grew bigger and more powerful. It pushed the cero and blasted Ion directly, blowing up the entire room. When the smoke cleared, Ion was completely gone, for his body had been blown to ashes completely. Matsumoto sealed her zanpakuto and all the ash that made up the cat went into the hilt of her sword.
Matsumoto: Captain!
Toshiro: Get back! Ryusenka!
Hitsugaya flew at Petre quickly with Hyourinmaru pointed directly at the Espada. As he flew, multiple rings of icy dust came from the tip of his sword. When Toshiro approached Petre, Petre grabbed Hitsugaya’s blade and stopped it from going any further. Petre hand suddenly became frozen in a case of ice, but he broke out of it quickly.
Toshiro: Damn it. Ryusenka is stronger if used in Bankai.
Petre: That was it? Such a weak attack. I can’t believe you’re the pride of Soul Society.
Toshiro: ………what a shame. U_U
Petre’s arm froze again and then the ice continued throughout his entire body until he was completely frozen solid.
Toshiro: Ryusenka is not such a weak technique that would fail to your strength, Sangre.
Petre: ……………………O_O
Toshiro: It’s over…Espada
Petre: Not yet!
Matsumoto:
Petre’s reiatsu began to shake the entire fortress and it destroyed the nearby remaining parts of his room. Hitsugaya was astonished at the amount of spiritual pressure he was giving off. Matsumoto retreated far from where her captain was, as his orders were given that she stayed far away from their fight. Petre broke out of his ice encasement.
Petre: Bombard! Ojiva! (Warhead)
A mass of dark green reiatsu surrounded Petre and he transformed. The reiatsu began crushing everything within its range, including Toshiro’s ice. In a gust of wind, the reiatsu cleared and revealed Petre in a giant green fighter jet with an opening at the bottom. The wings were actual hawk wings instead of plane wings. He flew it over Toshiro.
Petre: Goodbye, Hitsugaya, Toshiro!
When the pit opened, a barrage of bala blasts fell on Toshiro and kept making a larger explosion until they combined to make a huge explosion that wiped out the entire east part of the Las Noches dome. When the smoke cleared, Toshiro was injured slightly, but he was out of breath. His sword was smoking because he had just attempted to deflect all of the bala blasts.
Petre: The next round will be ceros. Prepare yourself, Captain!
Petre flew his jet over Toshiro again and the pit opened up. When it did, a huge cero blast shot down directly at Toshiro and blew the very ground he was on to bits. The cero was highly compressed and full of energy. Toshiro was still able to hold it off with his ice dragon hitting against the cero, but the cero was too much and blasted through to shatter the ice dragon. Petre flew very high into the air, as high as he could go, and he laughed.
Petre: Don’t fall asleep now. This next one will end with a bang…Bomba At?mica (Atomic Bomb)
The pit opened once more, but what came out wasn’t a cero or a bala blast. It was a tiny orb of reiatsu that fell from over 10,000 feet in the air. It fell slowly and picked up speed, but as it approached the ground, Toshiro’s eyes widened and he pointed his sword directly at it.
Toshiro: Matsumoto! RUN!
Matsumoto: O_O
Toshiro: Ryusenka!
Toshiro’s sword’s tip sparkled with energy and directed pulses of ice and reiatsu backward. The small orb of reiatsu approached Toshiro’s sword, and when it did…BOOM! A huge explosion occurred. The entire east and south parts of the Las Noches dome were completely destroyed, and everything within a mile was ripped to shreds, blown to bits, or damaged moderately to severely by the giant explosion of reiatsu. The smoke surrounded the area around a kilometer radius and didn’t clear for a while. Rangiku limped out of the smoke covered in blood. Her arm was bruised badly and her hair was messed up like an experiment gone wrong.
Matsumoto: If that blast did this to me, then…Captain! ……………………CAPTAIN!!! ………
The smoke began to clear. First it cleared from the top. Matsumoto look anxiously only to find an ice blue color in the midst of the clearing smoke. As the smoke cleared more, Matsumoto could see what it was. There were two large wings of ice and a dragon tail that waved high above the wings. Toshiro’s face was revealed, and he was completely unharmed. Starting at his right arm, ice formed in the shape of a dragon's head around the sword hand (you all know the rest).
Toshiro: Bankai…Daiguren Hyōrinmaru.
Petre: O_O Impossible………he took that attack without suffering a single ounce of damage. Even when his lieutenant was out of the range of the attack, she took severe damage from it.
Toshiro: I have to admit, blocking that attack was tough, but once I entered Bankai, it became nothing more than child’s play.
Matsumoto: That’s exactly what it is for you captain >_o oww…
Toshiro: Shutup. -_-' Sorry Petre Antonescu, but you’ve outlived your life-span. *swings sword and sends a Daiguren Hyorinmaru dragon at Petre*
The dragon hit Petre, blasted out to all directions in an icy explosion, and froze the Espada completely, then it shattered into pieces, killing Petre.
Toshiro: It’s almost time. Let’s go Matsumoto.
