Chapter 26- The Archangel
The Bottom Six Espada are dead...it's time for the big dogs' fights.
In the desert of Hueco Mundo, an Espada with the tattoo of the number “5” on him stood in wait with his Fraccion. The Espada had dark brown hair and his hollow mask fragments were in the shape of a laurel wreath around his head. Suddenly, two people, one captain and one lieutnenant, came running towards the Espada and they stopped when they saw him. The Captain had golden-orange-yellow hair and two swords, one on his back and one on his left sheathe. His lieutenant had light-brown hair and was carrying his zanpakuto on his back.
Antono: …Hmph. 13th Division Captain, Roku Kiyoshi. So, you came just as I expected. Glad you could make it.
Roku: As am I. *smirks* And, I’d like to apologize for not going all out in our previous fight. I would have but, you know, Bianca interrupted us. But this time, there will be no interruptions at all, right?
Antono: Not at all. Now…*unsheathes zanpakuto* Let us go all out.
Roku: I couldn’t agree more.
IN THE LAS NOCHES DOME…
Grimmjow: *senses Roku’s spiritual pressure* Well, well…look who came to Hueco Mundo. *smirks*
???: Is something wrong, Grimmjow?
Grimmjow: ……………………nope…nothing at all.

Roku and Antono clashed swords and created a rift in the ground just be the shear force of their attacks. Roku pushed Antono back and then flash stepped behind him before Antono even realized he had done anything. Antono fell on the ground, and from his shoulder to his mid-section appeared a diagonal gash that blood spurted out of. Roku tossed his sword into the air and caught it.
Roku: Too shallow.
Antono: You’re a lot faster than before. Was that shunpo?
Roku: Yes. I forgot to tell you my nickname as well…Solar Flash Kiyoshi, the greatest Flash Step Master in the Gotei 13.
Roku flash stepped toward Antono and hit his sword against the Espada’s. Antono struggled to block the attack but finally pushed Roku back using both hands. Antono used his sonido to appear above Roku and strike him with a downward slash which Roku blocked by drawing his other sword on his back, bringing it around in a horizontal arc swing. Antono spun his sword by the hand with his left hand to bring it around in an attempted to hit Roku from the side, but Roku blocked his second attack with his other sword. Roku flash stepped to Antono’s side and swung his sword to hit Antono in the arm, but Antono’s hierro protected him. Antono grabbed Roku’s blade and pulled back, tossing Roku behind him along with the sword. Roku rolled in the sand and recovered to get back up. He stood still for a second, and Antono waited to see what would happen. Suddenly, Antono’s shoulder was cut and then Roku’s image disappeared and reappeared behind Antono. The wound closed up slightly but more blood kept rushing out and the wound wouldn’t fully close.
Antono: What just happened?
Roku: That’s a special Flash Step technique that I invented. It’s called Kyouzoupo (Mirror Image Step). It’s a major high-speed flash step that moves so fast that the after-image remains for about 3 seconds. Only Yoruichi-san, Rag, and I have been able to successfully utilize this technique.
Antono: Good, good. You seem stronger than our last encounter! This will be more fun than I expected.
Antono appeared behind Roku and Roku blocked Antono’s attack and disappeared. He reappeared next to Antono, swinging his sword, but Antono knocked the blade aside with his fist and punched Roku in the gut. Roku coughed and then punched Antono in the face with his right fist. Antono barely felt the attack and he threw Roku up into the air and jumped up to attack with his sword. Roku recovered in the air and blocked Antono’s attack with his zanpakuto and parried the blade to find an opening. He saw an opening, Roku kicked Antono into the ground/sand, where the sand was kicked up in a small explosion.
Emperor: They’re really getting into it, aren’t they?
Fraccion: Yeah…how about we fight too…kicking your butt should at least give me some time to pass.
Emperor: That’s what you think! *unsheathes zanpakuto* But there’s no way you’re taking me down. 13th Division Lieutenant, Emperor.
Fraccion: Sir Antono’s Fraccion, Arrancar #45 and 4th Strongest Numeros..., Fidel Goyo.
Emperor: Let’s fight a good fight, Fidel.
Emperor attacked Fidel with his sword and Fidel blocked the attacks with his arm. Fidel kicked Emperor in the stomach, sending him crashing into the dirt and sand. Emperor got up and attacked Fidel again, but Fidel parried his strikes and then he jabbed his sword into Emperor’s chest.
Emperor: >.O
Fidel: What, is that it?
Fidel grabbed Emperor’s face and began charging a cero. Emperor panicked and was so shocked that he couldn’t move. Suddenly, a burst of reiatsu hit Fidel’s arm and stopped his cero from hitting Emperor point-blank. Emperor looked to his right to find Roku pointing his hand at Fidel.
Roku: Stop messing around and end this quickly. Once you do, get as far away from here as possible. If you don’t, you may die >_>
Emperor: Okay, Captain. Conduct the Heavenly Opera, Yuuenkatsu!
Emperor’s sword glowed silver and began to vibrate. Fidor felt slower and his spiritual pressure became shaky. Nevertheless, he attacked Emperor, but when their swords met, Emperor’s blade emitted a loud screeching sound and made Fidel’s blade uneasy. Fidel dropped his sword and his arm shook out of control…he felt slower than usual. Emperor made a vertical slash across Fidel’s arm and then a horizontal one across his torso.
Fidel: What the hell?! >_<
Emperor: You’ll never win like that.
Antono: Fidel, get it together!!
Antono charged at Roku again and swiped his sword, a slim longsword, against Roku’s and he pushed it wit all of his might. He finally pushed Roku back and when he did a shockwave blasted out from all directions from the sheer power of the attack. Emperor and Fidel both flew back, and Roku slid across the sand on his feet, grinding up the dust and sand as he came to a stop. Roku reached into his pocket and immediately threw 5 hidden knives at Antono. Antono blocked the knives effortlessly but when he looked again, Roku was gone and now directly in front of him. As Roku’s sword approached Antono’s face, Antono tried his best to block the attack and succeeded, but a small cut appeared on his cheek when he did. Roku pushed on their blades, sending Antono backward and charged quickly, combining his speed with flash steps, and slashed at Antono from all direction, chaining the attacks together to push Antono to his limit. Antono jumped backward and landed in the air.
Antono: Impressive. Very impressive. I never expected to have to use this against you, but once I do, it’s all going to end………… Reign from Above…
Antono pointed his katana up at the sky and it began to glow bright with a bluish-yellow outline. Lightning came down and went through the sword and shocked Antono, sending millions of volts of electricity through his body.
Antono: Arc?ngel!
The entire ground shook and the sand and dirt dispersed from the sheer pressure and power that Antono was giving. A kilometer worth of sand surrounded Antono, covered Emperor, Fidel, and Roku all in the blast and spiral of energy and sand. A huge gust of wind blew hard on everyone and the sand and dirt and dust and smoke immediately cleared revealing Antono flying in the air. He had a huge set of Angelic wings, a halo over his head, was now wearing a white robe, and his sword had transformed into a very long metal rod with a very sharp point at one end.
Roku: O_O wow…
Antono: Surprised? This is my true form…and in this form, my power, speed, and all abilities are fortified greatly.
Antono appeared behind Roku and kicked him in the gut. Roku went flying into the air and Antono followed through with the attack and flew up to Roku to deliver a powerful punch into the ground.
Roku: >.< Oww! That hurt badly. *unsheathes zanpakuto* Shine Upon All Things (Terasu), Kintsuki!
Roku’s zanpakuto changed into golden-yellow-orange long katana-like nodachi that reflected the light of the moon in Hueco Mundo to look like the surface of water. Golden reiatsu surrounded Roku and turned into golden fire. The fire spread across the desert and almost caught Emperor and Fidel in it, but the two fighters ran as far away as they could. Roku swung his sword to his right, sending a bursting wave of fire off in that direction, burning everything in the path to ash.
Antono: I will be careful of that sword now that I know what it does. But you are the disadvantage. You’ve never even seen my release form before…well, now’s a good time to find out.
Roku: You think you know all of Kintsuki’s secrets. Guess again. Take this…Taiyouga! (Sun Fang)
Roku swung Kintsuki vertically at Antono and a crescent shaped wave of fiery solar reiatsu shot out at Antono (like a golden Getsuga Tenshou). Antono pointed his rod at the wave of reiatsu, and when they collided, his rod repelled it with ease. Antono redirected the blast toward Emperor, who was still fighting Fidel. Emperor looked up in shock and tried to run, but the attack was too fast. Roku suddenly appeared next to Emperor, threw him aside from the blast, and stopped it with his hand. Emperor began to sweat and his entire body felt like it was being burned.
Emperor: That was dangerous! And you’re too close. I can’t withstand that fire!
Roku: I told you to finish your fight quickly. Now you see what can happen if you get caught up in this.
Emperor: Yeah, yeah. Okay I’ll finish it quickly. *charges at Fidel*
Roku: Antono, that rod is quite powerful. What else can it do?
Antono: Come attack me and you’ll find out, Kiyoshi.
Roku: Let’s just see. Getsuga! (Moon Fang)
Roku swung his sword sideways and an icy blue blast of reiatsu burst toward Antono, who then swung his rod and a large surge of lightning came out from the tip of the rod and shot at Roku’s Moon Fang, the two attacks smashing together and causing a huge explosion. Roku flew through the explosion in one giant leap with a single flash step and he approached Antono, hitting his sword against the Espada’s.
Roku: I’d say we’re evenly matched! But in order to truly go all out, our subordinates need to leave. How about I take care of that? *kicks Antono aside*
Roku pointed his sword at Fidel and a stream of water shot out at the Fraccion. As it approached, Fidel readied his stance to block it, but the attack was too powerful for him to fend off. Suddenly, Antono appeared and he swiped the attack away with his rod, flapping his wings to fly up after he did.
Antono: Fidel. Combo attack, now!
Fidel: You’ve got it, Antono-sama. *holds zanpakuto unside down by the hilt* Assist…
