Chapter 20- Departure to Doom
Kenshin: (That reiatsu…it’s insane) So, they turned you into a complete Vizard, eh?
Akira: Yeah. Now, prepare to die!
Akira suddenly disappeared in a flash and reappeared just as quickly in front of Kenshin to attack him with his zanpakuto. The force of his strength was so great that Kenshin could barely hold him off. Kenshin tried to force Akira back with his right hand on his zanpakuto while he moved his left hand toward Akira’s face.
Kenshin: Shou!
A burst of reiatsu shot in Akira’s face, bursting him backward in surprise and he looked at Kenshin with a deadly glare.
Akira: Such a low level kidou spell. What’s the point of that?!
Akira flash stepped behind Kenshin and slashed him across the back. Kenshin didn’t react much to the seemingly fatal wound and he just flash stepped around the room and caught Akira as he was about to attack and he threw Akira into one of the chairs. Akira got out from the chair and jumped into the air.
Akira: Bakudou #67…
Kenshin: Like hell I’ll let that happen!
Kenshin threw several knives at Akira that cut through the air and flew very quickly, and as Akira was distracted by that, he flash stepped behind Akira. Once he was behind Akira, Akira looked down and a blood-drenched sword stuck through his chest.
Akira: You son of a…
Kenshin: Please, save the name-calling for after I leave. How I got to you so quickly, well that's something that I'd like to keep a secret from you. There’s one more item I need to get from here.
Kenshin poured a bottle of enhanced-shinten on Akira, knocking him out. For about an hour, he search for a certain item while clearing out the evidence. In that time, Bishamon and his subordinates arrived.
Bishamon: So, you completed your mission. Good work Kenshin. Did you find the canon, by the way?
Kenshin: Yes I did. *brings it out*
???: Ahh…the Kidou Cannon. Look at its glory! Such an item shouldn’t belong to Soul Society and their corrupt Central 46.
???: Silence, Daiki. Soul Society does command some respect, but the use of their power is, as you stated, questionable.
Daiki: Ain’t that the truth.
Kenshin: Jiro, Kazuki, Ryu, Yoshi, grab the cannon by the four corners. Daiki, open the garganta.
Daiki drew a line on the ground and clapped his hands together, then a huge garganta gate opened up in front of him. He quickly ran over to the kidou cannon as Kenshin was charging it. Bishamon and all of his subordinates all focused all of their reiatsu into the cannon.
Bishamon: Ready! Aim!...F…
Bishamon’s mouth was shut by a person who appeared and punched him in the face with an uppercut. It was Goro, surrounded by the Onmitsukido. Bishamon got up.
Bishamon: The Onmitsukido. To what do I owe the honor of the Captain of Division 2 and the Special Forces.
Goro: You owe it to Zanji and…
Every other captain and lieutenant surrounded Bishamon and his group, ready to attack. Zanji walked in front of Bishamon.
Zanji: What are you doing with the kidou cannon pointed at that Garganta?
Bishamon: Destroying our competition. We’re about to obliterate all of Hueco Mundo and its inhabitants. Men, FIRE!!!
Zanji: Stop them!
Rukia, Izuru, Ikkaku, and Hitsugaya all put their swords to the necks of Bishamon’s men. They froze in their tracks and stopped preparing to fire the cannon while Bishamon just smiled and smirked. Bishamon reached for his zanpakuto but was stopped suddenly by someone with a black robe and had a black hood over their head. The person was followed by two others in the same robe but they were blood-red.
???: You’re trying to destroy Las Noches, eh? You think our Mistress, BiBi, will stand for such insolence?
Bishamon: Looks like there’s no way out of this situation. I guess this plan didn’t work out as we thought it would. I never expected for Bianca to send her men here. It looks like we have no choice. Kazuki!
Kazuki: Yes, sir!
Everyone tried to attack Bishamon and his group but just as suddenly as they struck them, Bishamon and his subordinates disappeared in flash of blinding green light. They looked around but there was no sign of them anywhere. The Gotei 13 captains and lieutenants looked at BiBi’s soldiers and they returned the same look.
???: Sorry, but we really must run. *disappears after negacion fields appear*
Zanji: >=| Dammit.
ONE DAY LATER
The captains and lieutenants all met at the center of Soul Society, where all of the Divisions’ members could watch as a huge event went into play. Zanji looked at everyone.
Zanji: In exactly 8 minutes, the entire Kidou Corps will set all of Soul Society on temporary freeze. Nobody will be able to get into Soul Society or exit it. Do not be afraid, fellow shinigami, for these are harsh times and so drastic measures must be taken into play. We captains and lieutenants will enter Hueco Mundo, but feel completely safe. Do not disturb the Kidou Corps officers because freezing Soul Society takes impossible amounts of spiritual pressure and concentration, and bear with us. Our mission should be complete in approximately 6 hours, but be prepared for one day’s time.
Random Shinigami: Is everyone going?!
Zanji: As two of our captains are to remain in Soul Society for protection purposes, just in case, only 11 captains and their lieutenants will be sent out. The following Captains are going to Hueco Mundo…1st Division Captain, myself. 2nd Division Captain and Head of the Onmistukido, Goro Kaguya. 3rd Division Captain, Tobi. 4th Division Captain and Leader of the Medical Relief Team, Carlie. 5th Division Captain and Leader of Reinforcement services, Ichigo Kurosaki. 6th Division Captain, Rukia Kuchiki. 7th Division Captain, Kira Izuru. 10th Division Captain, Toushiro Hitsugaya. 11th Division Captain and Captain of the Combat Squad, Ikkaku Madarame. 12th Division Captain, Ragnaroc Uchiha. And 13th Division Captain and Head of the Research and Development Institute, Roku Kiyoshi. Those captains are on this mission. Captains Hisakata and Shuuhei were chosen to protect Soul Society by the other captains due to their abilities.
Ragnaroc: ALRIGHT! We will not permit any intolerable behavior and let me say this once, loud and clear. Failure is NOT an option! You will kill all of the arrancar and finish off BiBi’s forces! Is that clear?!?!
All: Yes, Captain Uchiha!!
Ragnaroc: And if you come across her, do not hesitate to kill her at all costs. Even if your life depends on it.
Izuru: Wait, but isn’t she a shinigami just like us? Shouldn't we at least interrogate her to find out why they're doing this.
Ragnaroc: Disregard that. If any of you hesitate and I find out, I will make sure that you are not let off easy. Because Bianca...is my sister, and so I cannot allow failure of her termination...*looks at the ground* Now…let’s go!
And so the Captains delve deeper into the enemy’s territory.
