Chapter 17- The New Idiot
Carlie: We’ll see after this…Freeze the World, Yuukihime…
Carlie’s zanpakuto glowed light blue and changed into a scythe. Also, the three ribbons that were at the end of the hilt of the zanpakuto turned into three black snakes. The snakes looked up and hissed at the Ryoka and breathed out a green mist around the area. The mist surrounded the injured guards and began to heal them.
Carlie: I had to take care of my squad first. Now, we can end this…
Reikyo: Bring it!
Carlie drew a circle in the air in front of her and an ice ring formed, but its edges were very sharp. Carlie reached for the ice ring and grabbed it.
Carlie: Yuukihime can create anything from ice. U_U
Reikyo shot another burst of energy at Carlie and pushed her back again but she flash stepped toward him and cut him once with her scythe. Reikyo reached for the rod of the scythe but the snakes stuck their fangs into his hand and it began freezing slowly. At first his hand was just pale, but every moment it became paler and paler until ice started to form on the exterior. Carlie then hit her scythe against Reikyo’s, which was blocking her from landing a direct hit. She jumped back and shot a small beam of ice from one of the snakes’ mouths. Reikyo sidestepped the beam and flash stepped behind Carlie to shoot a burst of reiatsu at her, catching her by surprise. Carlie rolled on the ground and recovered with a back flip and she landed on one foot. She set her other foot down.
Carlie: You’re so strong…no wonder you were once a lieutenant of the Brute Forces. This is my strongest shikai attack…so be proud to die by it…
Reikyo:

Carlie: Hyouten Karite. (Ice Reaper) U_U
Carlie held her zanpakuto out to her right and a thick mist formed from the tip of the scythe’s blade and spread around the battlefield. Reikyo kept shooting bursts of energy but the mist would disperse. Once the mist covered his sight, Carlie took her scythe and heaved it horizontally at Reikyo. The scythe flew quickly through the air as it spun around and it ripped itself into Reikyo’s chest, and when it did Reikyo’s entire body turned pale. It began to freeze and soon his entire body was nothing but an icy shell. The mist cleared and Carlie sealed her zanpakuto.
Carlie: You fought well, Ryoka.
3 DAYS LATER…
The 1st Squad Barracks were quiet. Nobody had arrived yet except for Hisagi and Mizutoki.
Mizutoki: Captain, we’re early again, aren’t we?
Hisagi: >.> tch…shutup…
Mizutoki: You have a bad sense of time, captain
Hisagi: I said shutup! >.<
Ikkaku: What’s the matter, Hisagi? You have such a short temper.
Hisagi: O_O Ikkaku. You’re early today. What’s the hurry?
Ikkaku: Yumichika retired, so I wanna see what new guy took his former position. Besides, he told me to do it as a favor.
Izuru came out from the right side of the secondary hall building, but he was without his lieutenant. He stopped by the middle of the outside walkways to step into the garden and smell some of the flowers.
Hisagi: You think Izuru will be alright? You know…since he lost his lieutenant, Jaiden, that night…
Ikkaku: It can’t be helped now…the poor kid’s already gone. And they got along real well. He’ll just have to hang in there.
Izuru: Oh…good morning, Ikkaku, Hisagi-san.
Hisagi: Hey.
Izuru: Anyway…would you guys happen to know from which squad the new 3rd Division Captain is from?
Ikkaku: He’s the 5th Division’s, I think.
Ichigo: Who is?
Hisagi: Ichigo?! O_O Don’t just come out of nowhere like. You almost scared us half to death.
Ikkaku: >_>’ Speak for yourself Hisagi........... O_O So, Ichigo, the new guy’s from your squad. Interesting. Congratulations.
Ichigo: Yeah. Thanks.
Ragnaroc, Roku, and Akira and came out of one door laughing and discussing something.
Mizutoki: What’s up Rag?
Ragnaroc: Huh? Oh, nothing much. How’s it going peeps?
Mizutoki: You shouldn't use words like "peeps" Rag. You're not cool enough :3
Ragnaroc: *punches Mizu on the top of his head* You wanna repeat that, dummy?! 0_o
Hisagi: Good. What’s so funny?

Ragnaroc: Akira snuck up on Roku and he accidentally spilled a can of periodical laughing gas that he was carrying to his squad yesterday.
Roku: Luckily, I’m immune. But Akira, you have to deal with it for another 2 hours.

Toushiro: Can I get by please?
Izuru: Excuse us, Captain Hitsugaya. o_o
Akira: We’ve got another captain. It’s so fast too. We just lost one of our other captains anyways. *laughs*
Ragnaroc: Tell me about it. So many people are either dying or being promoted. Ever since Yama-ji died we’ve been switching through captains like crazy. Goro just became a captain a year ago after Captain Soi Fon retired…
Roku: Komamura just got promoted 20 years ago. Unohana, Ukitake, and Shunsui retired at the same time 80 years ago, but they’re still helpful of the Gotei 13 whenever they’re needed. Not to mention how we’ve switched through the commander captain so quickly. First the old man died, then Bisha-san disappeared, and now we’ve got Zanji.
Toushiro: It’s not exactly bad. Think…Soul Society has gained the most powerful military force that it has ever had before. At least they didn’t all die like the old man and Zaraki.
Ikkaku: I guess it’s for the better.
Akira: Hitsugaya’s, you’re the only one remaining from over a hundred years ago. Why didn’t you join up with the others in the [You Know Where] >.>
Toushiro: I’m happy where I am…
Hisagi: Unfortunately, you kept Rangiku-san with you.

Carlie: Everyone…it’s time.
Everyone lined up in the appropriate fashion and waited for Zanji to come in. After about five minutes, Zanji entered, but the new captain wasn’t anywhere in sight.
Zanji: *looks around the room* The 3rd Squad Captain hasn’t arrived yet?
The doors blasted open and an odd, messy-black-haired man jetted into the room and stood in the midst of everyone else.
TOBI!: O_O Oh CRAP! I was late. O_O

Zanji: (Another crazy one…)
Akira: *LMFAO!* HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!
Ichigo: O_O Akira?? It's not that funny.
