So I just caught up with Bleach after having stopped reading the manga at the Fullbringer arc ... you know while reading it I was honestly under the impression that it was going to end decently by shonen standards until the Yhwach vs Ichigo fight.
Holy f*** did it go downhill from there. I couldn't muster any serious reaction to the past few chapters - once I found out that the manga was seriously ending in 2 chapters, all I could do was laugh. The likes of DBZ had a better finale.
This manga got axed worse than Naruto in the end.
And the sad thing is that it needn't have been this bad had Kubo not done the Fullbringer filler arc and spent the time on a properly paced ending which he clearly showed was capable of writing with this arc until the past dozen chapters.
It seems that Kubo opted for the monetary driven choice of milking his potentially decent-good story to the last coin - instead of dealing the mercy of shortening it with a dignified end which would have resulted in less revenue.
It's been a long-ride - I was watching Bleach on Cartoon Network back when I was a kid - but like with Naruto, I'm sad it ended this way.
