complete description of episode
The episode begins with Hollow Ichigo and Muramasa clashing swords. HI attacks Muramasa very much like a berserker. Meanwhile, Muramasa questions HI's power. They continue to clash until HI is pushed back. HI tells Muramasa that he ain't half bad. Muramasa talks to HI. Ichigo is seen lying on the floor witnessing the fight. Here is the title card.
Ukitake and Kyoraku continue to talk about the zanpakuto battles. This includes Hisagi's battle with Kazeshini and Renji's fight with the two Zabimarus. Kyoraku questions what would happen if the zanpakuto lose; do they die or will they revert into their sword form? The battle is seen as Zabimaru-F holds her chain like a flail while Zabimaru-M is holding the sword itself to attack Renji. Renji pushes the kid back, but he wields the chain this time. He is flailing Zabimaru-F whom this time is the one attacking Renji with the zanpakuto.
Renji is finally pushed back by this attack. The two spirits taunt Renji about how weak he truly was. As Renji is exhausted, the two spirits begin to argue. Renji just watches in pure awe especially during this battle. Renji ends the argument saying that they are still friends. This almost escalates into another argument before Renji claims that they only came to fight him.
Renji charges up his reiatsu and is about to call out his shikai. Renji is surprised that he cannot use the shikai. Meanwhile, Hisagi is running in the forest hearing Kazeshini's laughs and taunts. They continue to talk a bit before Kazeshini attacks Shuuhei from behind. Shuuhei manages to deflect the sword, or sickle, back. He is attacked in the right shoulder by the second one, losing some blood. Kazeshini taunts Shuuhei as he is trying to figure out his location. As Shuuhei is talking, Kazeshini appears behind him. Shuuhei looks behind as Kazeshini attacks Shuuhei. We don't see the clear result of this yet.
Back to HI/Muramasa, HI is still being a berserker as he pushes Muramasa back. Muramasa is impressed by the opponent's speed and power. HI uses Zabimaru as a flail while taunting Muramasa. He attacks from behind which causes Muramasa to be thrown against one of the skyscrapers. Muramasa gets back up and realizes that HI really is a hollow. They have a flashback from Episode 233 where Ichigo uses the hollow's powers to fight Zangetsu and Muramasa. However, Ichigo himself was able to resist such the power and pull the mask off.
Muramasa jumps from the skyscraper back down to HI and Ichigo. He begins to talk in an echoing voice. HI questions who is referring to, pointing to Ichigo. Muramasa replies that Ichigo isn't what he was referring to. HI and Muramasa talk a lot before they escalate into another battle. Muramasa decides to fight HI using the full scale of his powers. All HI does is grin.
Zabimaru-F uses the chain to gain high speed against Renji, then uses the shikai. Renji pushes the sword back. Renji is then attacked by Zabimaru-M. After the attack, he is seen exhausted. Zabimaru-F and Zabimaru-M talk a bit to Renji. They show a flashback with Renji/Rukia in the Shinigami Academy, Renji's battle against Ichigo in SS, and how he failed to stop Byakuya. Zabimaru-F taunts Renji at how weak he truly is and the failure to protect those who were close to him. Renji thinks about Rukia.
Renji clenches his fist shakingly becuase he is exhausted. Zabimaru-F appears near Renji and attacks him. Renji gets attacked into a building. Renji gets out of the debris-filled building but is exhausted. Renji decides to defeat the two Zabimaru. Zabimaru-F tells Renji that this is enough; he has nothing left in his arsenal that can defeat them. He was using their power and once he lost it, he is reduced to a weakling.
HI and Muramasa continue to clash with their swords. HI finally pushes Muramasa back while questioning the opponent's power. HI jumps and attacks Muramasa with his flailing sword. Muramasa is being repeatedly pushed back by HI. HI suddenly uses the power of his zanpakuto. The sword disappears in a blue flame, then his fingernails create some soundwaves.
HI jumps high to avoid whatever attack Muramasa is planning against him, at the same time taunting his opponent. HI suddenly froze in midair, then falls down to the skyscraper. This surprises even Ichigo. HI cannot move as Muramasa walks towards him. Muramasa questions how HI is failing to get up. As Ichigo watches the fight, he notices some weird pattern on the skyscraper above HI and Muramasa. Ichigo realizes that HI is being tangled up by Muramasa's appendages but it can only be seen through a reflection. Muramasa grabs his sword and plans to attack HI.
Meanwhile, Renji is being attacked by Zabimaru-M. Renji is thinking to himself as he is getting his ass kicked by the two Zabimarus. Zabimaru-M questions Zabimaru-F's lack of enthusiasm while using the shikai. As Renji is being attacked, he remembers the flashback of him receiving his shikai and Bankai. His battles with the Arrancar and Szayel Aporro Grantz (somehow fitting into a canon after the Hueco Mundo arc). Renji compares himself to Ichigo, stating that he is a weakling while Ichigo is the one who is able to win these battles.
He also compares himself to Byakuya, his captain. Ichigo uses Getsuga Tensho to attack Muramasa and free HI. HI becomes pissed off that Ichigo is fighting his fight, while Ichigo notices the truth behind Muramasa's technique. Muramasa is surprised by this. Ichigo and HI make some truce to defeat Muramasa. Ichigo charges at Muramasa. Muramasa blocks with the sword.
Suddenly, Ichigo's reiatsu begins to glow. Muramasa talks before he glows in a green light, suddenly vanishing. Renji blocks Zabimaru-M's shikai using his own sealed sword. Ichigo is then in the Seireitei looking head on at Muramasa. Zabimaru-M is pushed back. Renji tells the Zabimarus he will win this fight. Ichigo talks to Muramasa. They continue to repeat this until Renji uses Zabimaru's shikai while Ichigo uses his already shikai zanpakuto.

Ryuken is holding pictures of little Uryu, which were taken away by Isshin as he gives Ryuken pics of his two daughters. Isshin throws pictures of his two daughters around which were destroyed by Ryuken's arrows. Isshin becomes angry with Ryuken as he kisses one of these pics. Ryuken also becomes angry as Isshin showed up, planning to kill him. Isshin runs away from Ryuken as the latter uses his quincy bow and arrows.
