Blaze Release (炎遁, Enton) is an advanced chakra nature kekkei genkai of the Uchiha clan, that lets them manipulate black flames. Sasuke Uchiha uses this technique when manipulating the unquenchable black flames of Amaterasu, fashioning them into various weapons and defences but it was his brother, Itachi, who first showed the use of this special nature, through Amaterasu. C states that Sasuke manipulates the flames with his right Mangekyō Sharingan whereas he casts Amaterasu with his left where as Itachi was only able to cast them. It is unknown what element(s) this nature entails aside from Fire Release and its possible that its solely a much more advance use of Fire Release instead of a conjunction of 2 or more elements. The Black Flames of Blaze Release cannot be doused or put out by normal means and will burn anything they touch, including energy or chakra. The flames are pitch black and lack tangibility of physical properties and burn slowly, the only aspect so far to be known to be exploitable for potential defenses, although they make up for such aspects by being able to easily spread to nearby targets. Unlike normal elemental kekkei genkai's shown so far which seem usable at all times, Blaze Release techniques seem to only be accessible through the use of the Mangekyō Sharingan and are directly connected with it. As such, only Uchiha's who awaken the MS and are able to use Amaterasu can use Blaze Release techniques.
