Yep... just skip the last bit of my post why don't you?
I didn't skip I just didn't agree with it.
Why does everyone think I am a Mihawk fanboy?
I don't think your a Mihawk fanboy I just think you don't like the idea of Mihawk being defeated by Shiliew who wields a diamond devil fruit.
I don't think Shilliew and Mihawk will fight because Zoro will get there first and then nearly clash before Sanji turns up.
I don't understand this are you saying Sanji will stop Zoro and Mihawk fighting?
I don't like the idea because a Diamond sword is pointless as it's the same as a sword clad in Haki. Lame! If he's going to get a Devil Fruit it should at least fit his fighting style.
I also don't understand this logic...if Shiliew get's the Diamond sword it wouldn't just turn his swords into diamond it would turn his entire body also he could add more strength and defense onto the diamond with his Haki. Also I think Shiliew having a Diamond devil fruit suit him perfectly the same way Mr 1 had his steel fruit.
Shiliew using blue flames with his sword would work (especially for a good match vs Sanji) And the regenerative abilities would be good to see.
Actually I can't see Shiliew using flames at all since there'd be no point in him using blades then if he can just burn people flame type devil fruits suit people who fight with their arms and legs take Ace and Marco for example. Not to mention Burgess having that DF would make him even more of a monster for Sanji to defeat.
I can't imagine Burgess regenerating when he already tanks everything including a full powered punch from Garp, he just got back up.
Come on that wasn't a full powered punch from Garp at best it was tap. Garp when using his full strength could crush the head of Chinjao and fight with Roger on even terms if you think that was Garp using his full strength then I think your either really overrating Burgess or underestimating Garp, personally I think it's a little bit of both.
Regeneration would be too much. Once Zoro learns to cut Diamond Burgess would be screwed, if Burgess could regenerate he would never be knocked down.
The same applies for Shiliew you know if Zoro can't cut diamond and if Shiliew has the diamond fruit he's not going to be able to cut down Shiliew either.
Well look at things this way:
Marco = First division commander aka strongest commander
Burgess = First division commander
Uhm, I'm pretty certain it was shown in Whitebeards flashback that Marco was the first to join him as well, (This could be just anime only but I'm almost certain it's in the manga as well)
Anyway going by this logic all Vice admirals = Garp etc...Blackbeard seems like the type to let Burgess be his first division commander purely because he's most likely been with him the longest not because he's the strongest.
It would also seem strange for Burgess to be overtaken by a member that joins much later in the series, it's like somebody in between Zoro and Luffy or surpassing Sanji suddenly joins. It would simply be weird and take some getting used to. A lot of fans wouldn't like that and the same logic can be applied here.
Not really Shiliew right from his introduction was hyped to be stronger than Burgess and it's not strange at all for a character to be stronger when he/she is introduced later on in the series, for instance Robin and Franky joined after Nami yet they are stronger than her.
It does make sense, but it makes more sense for him to achieve what Mihawk could not; cutting Diamonds. Which is why Zoro vs Burgess is more likely.
But he could also cut diamond against Shiliew as well...nothings stopping Shiliew from getting the fruit, not to mention Zoro could also achieve what Mihawk did if for instance Shiliew defeated and killed Mihawk due to the fact Mihawk was unable to cut the diamond. Then having Zoro defeat Shiliew then would not only put him as #1 swordsman but he would also surpass Mihawk at the same time.
Zoro will probably learn to cut Diamond during the fight, like when he learnt to cut through Steel vs Daz Bones. Sanji and Burgess fight completely differently, what do you mean by them even being compatible? I see where you're coming from but if Zoro is to cut Diamonds he must fight whomever consumes the diamond fruit. That fruit suits Burgess more, hence why Zoro vs Burgess is my favored match up.
I'm not going to argue that Zoro will most likely learn to cut through diamond through the fight otherwise the fight would be boring if he could do it straightaway. Sanji and Burgess are more compatible due to their fighting styles Sanji fights with his legs while Burgess uses his arms.
Agreed Zoro will more than likely fight the person who acquires the Diamond fruit however I disagree over the fact the diamond fruit suits Burgess better the diamond fruit suits someone who has the ability to use it to it's full potential like I believe Shiliew will I think if Burgess gains it he will only use it to fight pretty much like Vergo did.
That's a fair point, but they probably have some philosophy saying there are no friendships in swordsmanship or something...
Well I'm personally going by what I've seen from Zoro his previous teacher (Kuina's father) Zoro seems to have a high amount of respect for the man and I believe it's the same with Mihawk now after all we have no idea what their relationship is now after two years but I don't believe that Zoro and Mihawk now could have a fight to the death it would if anything be a spar the same way Shanks and Mihawk used to spar back in the day and we all know a Zoro and Mihawk battle would be lame if they weren't going for the kill.
