Think about it, he did say he is Kaguya's child. But he doesnt look like Hamura? Perhaps something happened to him when he and hagoromo tried sealing Kaguya, Juubi and the Godtree.

Nah bro, BZ is Kaguya's will to be revived/live, just as the Juubi is her will to get Hagoromo and Hamura's chakra "back". He calls her "mother" just like the homunculi of Fullmetal Alchemist call "truth"; "father". The reason is because she is the creator.
