My guess is that when Madara was attached to the Gedo (Shell of the Shinju Kaguya is in), he actually created BZ but with Kaguya's will intact. Putting on the same act of helping Obito in the past with Madara as well. All for the purpose of IT and Kaguya's return.

Although he probably did not expect Madara's plan to come this far. Parhaps he actually thought that Obito would ditch Madara's revival and try to cast IT himself.


This is my thoughts on it. I would like to hear see yours.
