In that case, it depends on the situation. If I'm going to where a suit, I might choose red because everyone chooses black it seems and I'll stand out. If I'm not wanting to stand out for some reason, I'll go with black. I like a lot of colors though, my favorite being a purplish pink.

It would have been better to ask what one's favorite color was than only having the option of two. Some people don't like either. If forced between black or red in any given circumstance, I might just go with black. For instance, I can't stand red cars.
