As you know, Unbos are considered as fine and special shinubi. However, except for some of their techniques against Pain's summonings during attack to Konoha, we have never seen the scene they really deserve. I wish there was some fights to show their technique, planning, strategies and the like.

There are plenty of Anbu, or rather former Anbu, shinobi that are granted scenes within the manga, however they are merely accounted for as characters and as I have said no longer Anbu. These include:

Kakashi, who had been Anbu at the age of 15

Itachi: Anbu at the age of 13

Sai: Formerly under the direct command of Danzo

However I must agree, as otherwise many of them have been shown to merely be fodder, which is quite saddening.

ANBUs are fodder. At least that's how Kishi makes them out to be. I agree, I want to see them fight more! Or at least some covert ops...

All non-significant characters and in this case ninjas appear to be fodder because they simply have no place in the story and are often only there to prove an enemy's superiority.
