3rd Raikage. Deidara is the only real threat out of all of them. But his Explosion Style is poorly matching against his Lighning Style. Especially since he is physically much faster than him. Deidara wouldn't be able to react to his blitz.

They were aware of the poison and how to fight a puppet user. The 3rd has 0 knowledge because he's a real nikkah.
The way they responded was the result of Chiyo's experience and Sakura's training.

Also, this isn't Sasori vs Sakura and Chiyo, this is a kage vs five S-level criminals. A bunch of ropes won't obviously hold him, but Konan's paper, Kakuzu's threads and Sasori's IS would certainly do a much better job.
Its a possibility.

He won't need any prior knowledge on them to know he needs to not inhale poison gas, its common sense. By that logic everyone with no intel on Sasori loses because they won't know not to inhale poison gas shot at them.

Remember, Akastuki has no intel on the Sandaime either, so the no intel works both ways. Konans Paper, Iron Sand, and Kakuzu's threads are all cut with 4FN. 1FN kills them all in one slash to be honest.

Shino (whose intelligence, analytical and planning skills stood out for a guy with so little depth and panel time) couldn't help but to inhale some poison gas when he lacked the experience and full knowledge on Kankuro's capabilities.
What's common knowledge to us can catch a character by surprise in the narutoverse. No intel on Sasori or any puppet user is a great disadvantage for most foes, yes.

I'm aware of that, but there's a difference.
Unlike all these Akatsuki members, there's not much to learn about the 3rd Raikage. They'll soon find out he's nearly impossible to harm and that its very hard to defend against due to his spear and speed. He'll have to spend much more time figuring out the enemy, which btw can survive his most common offensive moves, all of them (except Deidara, but he can stand above with his clay and avoid CQC).

With a plan and their combined efforts (yes, Hell Stab can cut everything i mentioned above, but combined and used cleverly i don't think he can get rid of everything before inhaling some gas, which should be the Akatsuki's objective), i'm sure they could pull this off.
