My close friend that I'm currently texting right now, she's half black (virgin island dad) and half asian (Filipino asian mom). In a few hours from now, another friend who wants me to go to a party with him tonight, he has mixed black, native american and filipino in him. His obsessive girlfriend is mexican and she's already talking about marriage.
So it's more common than you think. Don't go looking up statistics because those sources are not reliable and bias. Just look around you and ask every black person you see what they are mixed with, you'll be surprise what answer they give you.

because that's important where these studies took place and what their qualifying traits are such as upbringing financial situation and level of education.

Most people date within their own race, it's people who disagree with black male/white female relationships who make that type of relationship such a big deal.
