black butler/kuroshitsuji is so...

BORING!! lately ive been on an anime spree and watching about uhh 6 anime at a time 3 eps per anime a day (i dont watch tv anymore so after im done with homework its straight to anime/manga.

anyways black butler is boring the only reason i think it is often recommended is because its for women who like having their ovaries exploded (because all the dudes are hot namely sebastian). the action is bland considering sebastian neg diffs everyone or its off screen...and those typical power ranger jumps done in anime where they jump up like 30 feet spinning and the bad guys cant seem to hit htis easy target.

its supposed to be a detective series as the main character ciel does a lot of detective work for the queen. however we dont get to see any of the detective part he just makes sebastian do it offscreen and he does it quickly. half of the time you dont even know theres a mystery until it sebastian comes back with it already solved.

theres a guy who is demon dog but when he gets "excited" he turns into human form and is naked. if youre a girl you would probably like that but as a guy...

the main character ciel is a total brat. hes one of those characters who thinks its cool not to show emotion and look down on people who do. he is also very selfish and a **** to sebastian.

Ciel is such a poor character. Sebastian on the other hand - one of the best I have come across. This series shouldn't have been added under the comedy genre. Sebastian is such a complex character. It's a shame that the author chose this route. I remember the non-canon episodes I saw only a day ago and the last and second last episode of the angel arc took my breath away. The seduction of the angel and the sexual and spiritual metaphors of the male angel becoming one with Sebastian ... I don't think I have ever come across such a delicate form of sexuality and seduction in any anime, ever!

It's scary how it actually is on par with Maria's seduction of James in Silent Hill II. It was THAT brilliant. The intermingling voices and the angel reassuring Sebastian that he would take on the form of a woman to achieve sexual and spiritual union brought back the whole dialogue when he was in the form of a woman and told him that how 'beautiful' Sebastian was and the 'pain in which he was in was exquisite'. Sadistic and downright carnal, without being vulgar and cheap.

Damn damn damn ... this should never have been under comedy, as when Sebastian seduced Beast, it had the same undertones. What a stupid author, honestly. A mature and non-shounen and comedy setting would have let the author bring out the hidden potential in Sebastian. A lot opportunity, really. Still, not a bad manga venture. I am just reading it for Sebastian.
