Bit of a delima for my story.

So i am torn between two ideas as a sort of a origin for my main character. Since I am mostly doing this for people like yourselves. I want to know some opinions, or even suggestions.

There is origin 1: She is from a different universe, she has no idea how she got to the main story's universe

Origin 2: She is from an ancient technologically advanced civilization and is awoken to present day

Both origins will be pretty vague just to add some imagination for the readers but some tidbits will be thrown in there. anywho. which sounds more interesting to you, or if you have any suggestions that you might like feel free to throw em at me.

Pick two. Number one has been done to death in fanfiction and is considered a major Mary Sue sign, which would put me personally a bit off as a reader if I saw it in a story.

Also....*dilemma.

Origin two is like a needle in a haystack. Rare and hard to find but worth it if sewing is what you do.
