Right. Earth is life. It is all around us, ever-present. Many religions believe that man was created from the earth. And when we die, we are lowered back into the earth in coffins, where our bodies decompose to feed the earth.

Let's try molding some earth chakra.

Visualize your chakra as slowly turning, never-ending, and solid. Then, let the chakra seep into the rock to crumble it.

Description: This jutsu allows the user to take a small chunk of rock and turn it into the shape of a staff. The user can then use it as a weapon or throw it with pinpoint accuracy at their opponent. A variation of this jutsu allows the user to create several staffs and launch them at the target, but with less accuracy.

This jutsu can be used to turn a boulder or larger rock into a staff, or it can be used to create a staff from the ground itself. The latter version is more useful. So, focus earth chakra into the ground, using it to "cut away" earth and essentially "carve out" a staff of rock. Then, focussing earth chakra into the staff itself, lift it up out of the ground and wield it as a normal weapon.

Description: The user, emerging from the ground below the target area, pulls down the opponent so that only their head is above ground. Unable to move, the opponent can easily be decapitated or tortured.

For this jutsu, you don't need to first dig a hole. This jutsu can be used whenever you're in the ground beneath your opponent. But because you don't know any earth jutsus that let you go underground and move around freely (yet), you should first dig a hole for learning this jutsu. After digging yourself into the ground, focus earth chakra all around your body. This should allow you to reach up, grab your opponent, and pull them down into the hole while pulling yourself up.

(Doton: Ganchuusou) - Earth Style: Stone Spikes

Description: The user creates spikes of earth that come up from the ground to stab the enemy.This jutsu can be made in a short or mid distace but the jutsu its self is made of a 6 foot radius of spikes.

Earth offense jutsus like these are best used in conjunction with other jutsus. For instance, while a fire jutsu is racing towards an opponent, they wouldn't be prepared for spikes of rock shooting up beneath them.

Focus earth chakra in the ground beneath the opponent, then rise the earth up quickly in points, creating spikes.
