[Discussion] Bills vs Hypothetical BOG Gogeta

When watching this, I was always thinking "if they fused, could they beat Bills?". I mean, I know Goku wanted SSG but I don't know why nobody suggested that him and Vegeta fuse.

So my topic of discussion is whether or not Gogeta could have defeated Bills (SSG excluded of course).

Gogeta's moves are all of Goku's moves, all of Vegeta's moves, Big Bang Kamehameha and Stardust Breaker. Can go SSJ, SSJ2 and (debatable as Vegeta couldn't use it) SSJ3.

Maybe they believed no other method can work, or its all for plot ?

no they wouldnt have been able to do much more than ssjk goku

for the gogeta fusion to work they would have needed to be at equal levels... since vegeta cant turn ssj 3... the only level they can both fuse at is ssj2.. this would be weaker than ssjk

however.. if they used the potara earings instead... now that would make a difference.. they could both use there max powers and then those max powers fused would also be powered up through the potara earings..

read what i wrote very carefully.. im not saying gogeta cannot turn SSJ3...

what im saying is they cannot FUSE without being of equal power level the highest vegeta can turn is SSJ2 this means the highest they can FUSE at would be SSJ2

its debatable whether they can turn SSJ3 or not as gogeta however i do not see it making much of a difference..

Toriyama sated if SSG Goku is a 6, Bills is a 10, and Weiss is a 15. So I still don't think Gogeta could've stood a chance. Gokus boost in power after the fight though may put him on Bills level. Saiyans gain immense strength after healing from a battle that brought them to their utmost limits. I'd like to see how strong Goku could get if Weiss trained him though. He'd surpass Bills in no time.

oh i misread that. but i dont think it matters whether they fuse at base or ssj level at all.

when it comes to the fusion dance it doesnt matter they just have to be in perfect sync to fuse they could do it at any level as long as they both can keep there power synced... trunks and goten did this in the hyperbolic time chamber

however if they were to use the potara earings.. they get a boost from the potara earings themselves and to make the most out of the fusions they can both go to max power which would again be enhanced by the earings.. plus there is no time limit

also goku after coming out of ssjk form retained most of its power anyways bills only fought ssjk goku at 70% power..

But Trunks and Goten had a lot of training as Gotenks in the hyperbolic time chamber. Something that Goku, and Vageta never got to do.

Cant they just do what goten and trunks did? Fuse in base form and turn to ssj3 later on?

Seems legit. If anything, Vegito or Gogeta could give Bills a nice even fight. Goku was enough for Bills at over half strength. Really angry Vegeta did pretty good for a while assuming that Bills was at least 30% The best bet would be Vegito: no time limit & dare I say it... STRONGER THAN GOGETA!!

It's like in Fusion Reborn. Janemba is stomping Goku and Vegeta then they fuse and one shot him. Or in the Buu Saga when Goku stands no chance against Super Buu but Base (or only SSJ if we're going by the manga) Vegito toys with Super Buu with Gohan, Goten, Trunks and Piccolo absorbed. If we know the gap between SSG and SSJ3, I think we can then begin to get a clearer idea. But, though this is guess work, I believe Gogeta could turn SSJ2/3 and defeat Bills.

I dunno about stronger but the time limit is definitely and advantage. I think the Old Kai said Potara was more effective not more powerful. Also, I don't think they would have been too ready to Potara fuse because of the time limit and that's why I said Gogeta and not Vegito.
