each bijuu has a specific power, apart from tailed beast bomb, of course, which could be manifested in its jinchuuriki. although this may not be 100% accurate, because we dont know much about some bijuu.

1 tailed beast could manipulate sand(maybe, because gaara could still do it after shukaku was extracted)
2 tails had cat claws(manga says her jinchuuriki could use them at will)
4 tails had lava release(roshi could use it too)
6 tails had acid release
8 tails had ink jutsus
9 tails could sense negative emotions.
and, they all could use bijuu dama!!!! :ghehe:

Shukaku(Ichibi): Could control Sand and utilize Wind Style
Matatabi(Nibi): Could shoot fireballs, flexible muscles for speed and mobility
Isobu(Sanbi): Able to create coral, swim at high speeds, can shoot chakra infused water balls, and create a genjutsu inducing mist
Son Goku(Yonbi): Utilized Lava Style, and had possibly superior physical strength over some of the other biju
Kokuo(Gobi): Able to create Steam(unknown uses), utilized its horn to ram opponents
Saiken(Rokubi): Able to create corrosive substances that even dissolved the skin of other Biju, Utakata created acid bubbles
Chomei(Nanabi): Carried the ability to fly, insect-related techniques
Gyuki(Hachibi): Like Son Goku, superior physical strength as well damage endurance[health if you wish], horns are sharp despite being large in size, Killer Bee made use of ink to try and escape Kisame unsuccessfully.
Kurama(Kyuubi): Can make use of shockwaves for varied uses, can sense negative emotions(Kurama can do this himself), can create twisters and breath fire, quickest of the Biju, highest resistance to attacks, resistant to Saiken's corrosive abilities.

Kurama's power compensates by having what seems to be the greatest strength in sheer power....look at the strength it adds to Naruto.

3 tails anime wise had genjutsu fog...in the manga had coral related moves (stunned Naruto)
7 tails seemed to give the user flight
5 tails might provide Steam based techniques (unless of course that was simply Han being epic)

So besides being the greatest sensor could Kurama also grant Naruto an advanced elemental KG? If so I suspect it'll be Mokuton seeing how the Kyuubi's unique chakra affects Zetsu and Mokuton in general.
