He's the main character. It would be kinda boring if he looked like all the other jinchuuriki's. Plus the seal plays a big part in the transformation. Kurama said it's rikudo's seal and Naruto kinda looks like him, so it's definitely the seal

no one has an answer, all we can do it sarcastically troll you or make a speculation

speculation: he has alot of life force, from 1)kurama(and even the yang half is sealed in him) and 2)himself
stamina(which uzumakis' are known to have alot of longevity and life force) this probably has something to do with it, while also the seal Minato used on him allowed kyuubi's chakra to leak and fuse with Naruto's which probably makes his chakra even more special.
i dont believe any other jinchuriki are uzumaki/senju/uchiha( i mention the others because they could possibly result in a different form as well[opinion])
also the new seal he used after beating Kurama was stated as Rikudo Sennin's seal by kurama himself and naruto reminded him of the sage
Naruto may very well be the sage incarnate.
This is all speculation and has not been confirmed.

The reason is because Minato is a genius... he only sealed half of the nine-tails chakra into naruto (yang)... which is light/life... Wood Release techniques will react to the Yang chakra's life-giving properties and mature into full-grown trees within a matter of seconds, either by contact or close range; which is also the reason he can sense negative emotions... Yin and Yang are equalizers of each other and reduces their power, sorta like a tailed-beast without a host... or probably because Naruto and Kurama haven't formed a perfect bond yet...

I've always wondered about that.

Maybe the Sage's seal, was the same as the Rikkudo's and reacted with Kurama's chakra flow and release.
Because if I remember correctly, each village has a different way of sealing the Bijuu inside their Jinchuurikis.

You have to remember, Mito Uzumaki managed to seal Kurama whole inside of her. Yet it was told that she was capable of sensing people's evil intents as well. ( I lack the manga page/chapter but I do remember it somewhere :\ )
