I go for this answer

It still doesn't matter. the age he entered is irrelevant. Why was he able to take the test when he was 9, but sasuke (a much better ninja back then) was unable to do it until 12?

I don't get it, if you repeat your class won't you join your juniors, the fact that Naruto failed three times implied that he repeated three times, meaning he was at one point in Neji's class (since failing thrice meant he entered before Neji, repeated once and joined Neji's class, repeated twice and joined Sasuke's class), the flashbacks were retconed...... Another weird thing is how did Lee pass the same exam Naruto failed when he could not use any ninjutsu?

It would imply naruto is older than the rest

Actually Minato was stated to be on the path of becoming the greatest Hokage but he died at an early age. And Hiruzen was stated to be the strongest in his prime, but that was heavily retconned when Edo Hashirama came about and the ish about destiny and reincarnations.

I thought you could take the Final Exam as many times as you like. And the Chunin Exams is held twice a year. >_>
