How the heck did Hashirama die?
It makes no sense, it's obviously not old age, and no one in his time except Madara stood a chance agains him.
Don't tell me he died in the war, how the hell does he die against fodders? Even if they are 1.0000000000000000000000000 fodders, they stand no chance. It's said he died during wartimes, thats fine, it never says he died on the battlefield.

I say someone close to him assasinated him, someone very close indeed.

Thoughts?

I've read theories saying that he might have died from his healing techniques. Tsunade's Creation Rebirth jutsu accelerates her cell reproduction but shortens her life span, myabe the same happened to Hashi.

I think the biggest mysteries are

1. What is Spiral Zetsu doing

2. What happened to Hamura....he was a deity, just like Hagoromo. Why doesn't anyone remember him though?

People always used to say that the wounds from his final battle against Madara eventually resurfaced during the war, but I like that idea of someone close to him assassinating him.

When Mito was first introduced, I always thought she would have a bigger role, and I have to admit the idea of an evil Mito appeals to me.

I think somewhere someone remarked that he was always youthful for his age, remember he remembers his granddaughter being a tiny tsunade. So he was atleast 50 er 60. Anime/manga have only a few dif age ranges that show.

1) Child
2) Preteen
3) Teen
5)20-40
6) Ancient.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say he slipped on a banana and hit his head too hard.

Hashirama was around Jiraiya's age when he died, so around 50-60s. That's not ancient, even Hiruzen was badass at 70. So Hashirama could have lived to 100 easy.

I would like to know the rest of that story, too.

I never thought the Hashi timeline made sense once it was revealed that he knew a young Tsunade.
I always assumed that he died before Tobirama became Hokage.

So did he just retire when his brother took over? They were only a few years apart in age.
