So how is a surgery with an intact spine more dangerous and improbable for success than literally having your body split into two pieces?

It was such a big deal on whether or not Lee would be able to live or stay a ninja. He even had to do physical therapy before being 100% again. Tsunade just shrugs it off like she has no fks to give and just goes back to the battlefield.

Theres also the other kages that were pretty much dead as well. they were revived so easily. they just shrug that off too. Idk, even if she can heal well, it still looks terrible on the logic but yeah, this is NV after all.

Well to be fair all the important organs were still there, lungs, heart, GI, etc.its not like you need the other half. However, the tree was still putting pressure on the body so it was stopping the bleeding so she was dying slowly. Which Madara probably wanted in my opinion.

Edit: to dumb it down the tree was a giant splint, which is taught in basic medical techniques like in CPR class.

a splint is to support a joint, like your elbow ROFL. but also, the tree wasnt putting pressure on anything. Any organs the tree hit, are smashed into non-existance. she LOST vital organs from that. even though logically, being hit by a tree 3 times the width of your body would not slip your bottom and upper half to the outside of tree, instead, one half would be showing while the other was obliterated, or all of her should be smashed to goo.

Can be used to stop bleeding lol ^ we use em all the time, only as a last resort though if the bleeding wont stop but thats the only logical thing I could see Kishi going with and yeah I figured some parts are done for but I'm sure she can bring some of them back.

Its no plothole. Rock lee's broken bones and torn muscles had healed, but fragments of bone had lodged in his spinal column, and removing them would involve an extensive operation that only she was capable of, her cut was probably clean, otherwise she would not have been able to heal it. All she had to do was put herself back together
