Why didn't Naruto just use Ma and Pa's genjutsu against Madara?

I agree that Madara would own Naruto and Sasuke in most cases, but that's not the topic. What counters do you think Madara would have to sound genjutsus? I'm wondering if his PS would be too dense to have sound penetrate, or maybe his third eye grants him immunity? Or maybe he has no immunity at all and will fall to it like Pain?

I mean, he would be caught by it, but he would break it, and no. sound goes through Susanoo even if it's PS, and we didnt saw anything with his third eye expect activating Eye of the moon plan

I wouldn't consider a sage genjutsu that can immobilize rinnegan users as "mediocre".
