[Spoilers] Big Mom and Brook

I'm calling it now.. Brook is going to get a powerup by the end of this Arc.

Today with the reveal of Big Mom's DF abilities (Soul-Soul Fruit), I see a oppurtunity for Oda to dive deeper into Brooks ability which has been said to also channel the power of souls.

I think Big Mom will probably take a huge chunk or all of Luffy's Soul and Brook will have a role in ressurecting luffy with his ability to channel the power of souls and the underworld. Even if that doesnt happen, I think Big Mom and Brooks abilities have too many similairites for Oda to let this arc slide without giving brook some development on his abilities.

Big Mom's abilities could also be a clue as to what Brooks abilities could possibly do if he awakens it. Not so much to remove peoples souls but to channel the power their souls to increase the power of is attack or call souls from the underworld to fight with him.. Also, I thin their could be a link between Big Mom's rages and Brooks DF ability to manipulate peoples emotions. It might end up saving luffy's life.

Its really alot of possibilities, but what do you think?

Is this and oppurtunity for brooks DF to get more Developement and if so what do you think it will be?

I like it now that you lay it out it almost seems inevitable that Brook and of course Luffy will be the heroes of this arc which is awesome to me because I actually like seeing Brook get to get serious. I wanna know more about his homeland where he learned his quick draw techs iirc he made it sound like they were a prominent kingdom with an elite guard force that he was part of. I wonder if Brook's ability would ever let souls talk to the living like say oh i don't Luffy getting to talk to Ace after he's PK?

Very nice idea, i like it. Making brook a bard type in mmo rpg games where he buffs his crews souls making them stronger and go past their limits while debuffing enemy pirates. Making brook an enhancer type df user when awakening his devil fruit is quite rad and unique.

I enjoy a serious Brook also, and I do think brook has a unique ability could play a very unique role in the story. To your point about Luffy talking to Ace, I always had a theory that by the EoS when they arrive to Raftel, Brook will somehow allow Luffy to talk to Gol Roger

Nice theory.

Brook could also possibly meet his end this arc. He might perform ability similar to laws revival surgery, which ultimately causes death. This could be done for further maturing of Luffy (get your shit together this is shinsekai!)
