never said anything about politicians telling the truth i mean look at Romney. All the responses biden presented were backed up with facts, not just because biden kept mentioning the word "fact" but he brought up the "facts" which obama failed to bring and even used "facts" to answer opposing questions by ryan. Overall i think biden took this if you disagree, your opinion :shrug:

Documents, State Department cables and Congressional testimony just this week show more security for the consulate in Benghazi was requested as early as March 2012. All three also showed U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens received death threats from Al Qaeda in July 2012.

2. Biden repeated the lie that there was a protest outside of the consulate prior to the attack, despite the administration knowing there was no protest and that the attack was an act of terror within 24 hours. Biden, as Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder have in the past (remember the CIA prosecutions? remember the prosecutions of Navy SEALs?), threw the intelligence community under the Obama for America bus.

3. Biden accused Ryan of voting against consulate security funding, implying the attack happened as a result. This week, officials closest to the disaster in Libya said funding had nothing to do with the attack in Benghazi on 9/11.

Three strikes on Libya and a deeper hole for the administration to climb out of as a result.

was watching all the commentaries on tv, well basicaly if you watched it on the radio they say biden won, if you watched on tv how disrespectful he was and also how the mediator didnt let ryan speak and didnt ask biden one hard question basicaly on tv people said biden won... me personaly? i think ryan won because he had hard factual evidents.. he didnt resort to lieing unlike biden, he showed respect and wasnt smurking/laughing in a condesendant matter, when you lie, and show disrespect it shows what your compensating for....

Both of them lied, both stretched facts and both told the truth. The debate was a wash in that department.

You disliked Biden's attitude, I enjoyed it. Much of Ryan's answers sounded scripted, which isn't very surprising. I think the Obama campaign was expecting this and just unchained Biden. Ryan wanted a nice civil discussion where he could stick to the script but Biden turned it into a dog fight; which Ryan wasn't as prepared for.

Personally I wish the debates were more like that. Throw out the scripted responses, get rid of the time limits, and just let the candidates argue it out. I think that approach would give us a better idea of what the candidates are really thinking.

To each his own I suppose.

I find it funny that the debater who lies the most is declared the winner because they were more aggressive. Romney was fact checked and was said to have told a shitload of lies and now Biden is telling lies too and apparently he's the winner now? F*ck it, I'm voting third party.

most people say that they were pretty equal, comparing it to the last debate. But Biden, came out strong. And Ryan's point's weren't all exactly the truth. It was a good debate.

If you don't know about him already, look into Gary Johnson. He holds a very strong base, and seems to be the most viable of the third party candidates.

Yeah I've heard about him, he's libertarian, I would vote for him but I'm left leaning so I'd probably go for Jill Stein but gary Johnson isn't a bad pick either.

I didn't appreciate how Biden was so condescending, smirking, and laughing threw the whole thing. It's a debate about who's and how to run this country. And we're in a mess. Why in the world is he laughing at Ryan? It's rude and inappropriate.

I loved the way Biden was smiling at Ryans BS. The moderator ask for specifics and Ryan was dancing around the question. WHAT IS ROMNEY'S PLAN oh yeah rise taxes on the middle class. All they do is lie and flip flop and their sh*t don't add up, who is voting for this guy and why?

I say this on another thread and i'll say it on here:

Vice President Joe Biden accused Rep. Paul Ryan of putting two wars on the “credit card,” and then suggested he voted against the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.

“By the way, they talk about this great recession like it fell out of the sky–like, ‘Oh my goodness, where did it come from?’” Biden said. “It came from this man voting to put two wars on a credit card, at the same time, put a prescription drug plan on the credit card, a trillion dollar tax cut for the very wealthy.”

“I was there, I voted against them,” Biden continued. “I said, no, we can’t afford that.”

Then Sen. Biden voted for the Afghanistan resolution on Sept. 14, 2001 which authorized “the use of United States Armed Forces against those responsible for the recent attacks launched against the United States.”

And on Oct. 11, 2002, Biden voted for a resolution authorizing unilateral military action in Iraq, according to the Washington Post.

Biden also said Syria was twice as big as Libya. On the contrary, Libya is about 10 times bigger than Syria. But Biden never got taken for that lie, did he?

The CNN poll on the other hand polled registered voters who watched the debate and unsurprisingly fell along party lines.

The goal of these campaigns is to draw in the undecided voters. Repubs will vote for Romney, Dems will vote for Obama. Its the ones in between who decide the elections, and Biden won among those voters. Therefore regardless of our opinions on whose policies are better and who had the better demeanor, Biden won the "debate".
