With a lion's heart, demeanor like jackal's,
I struggle like hell to break free from this shackles.
With a spirit so raw, not afraid of the law,
You look at me wrong, I break your jaw.
Don't even think about fighting back, I'm already broken,
And I wouldn't filter the words that I've spoken.
Don't let them soak in, I'm a contradiction,
Creating friction with no conviction.
But if you listen beyond the words, you'll find nonfiction,
And it's not rehearsed.
Every thought from the back of my head,
Spewed forth like vomit, nothing left unsaid.
I didn't care if I believed it or not,
There was no point to leave it in my mind to rot,
To accumulate like a string of blood clots.
I'm an infinite story without a plot,
My soul's tangled in rope with knots,
I want freedom but it's like I've forgot,
How to find meaning within this box.
I unlock it, but what comes out is rage,
Letting my demons break out of the cage,
There's no love but it's what I long for,
Just can't find anything worth being strong for.
Ambition is dead, I'll surrender instead,
Anything to clear this mess in my head.
Blind my eyes there's nothing to see,
I want someone to follow I'm too tired to lead,
So I'll be what you want me to be,
Until the final voyage when my spirit is freed.
