Beyond Birthday is a very slim, tall young man with black hair and dark eyes. One of his most noticeable features is the shadow below each of his eyes, a result of sleep deprivation. BB is always shown to be wearing blue jean pants and a long-sleeved, black shirt. He almost never wears shoes or socks, preferring to go barefoot while even in public.
Birthday is a man who's personality is all derived from L's, he decided if L is a genius than B will be a super genius, if L is a freak than B will be a super freak. His whole life was about becoming a successor to L, his friend A couldn't take the pressure and killed himself, and B became a serial killer, with an intellect that rivals the worlds greatest detective himself. He is dark, and evil, not to be taken lightly.

Beyond Birthday was orphaned during the 3rd Great War in Konohagakure as a child, and was found by a man named Quillish Wammy (also known as Watari) who took him in to a school for the "gifted" in Kirigakure at a young age after seeing B's skills in deduction and his genius at a very young age, skills that mirrored that of his would-be predecessor L; without these skills B would surely have been left to fend for himself or die like many other orphans.
During his time at this school he further developed and advanced these skills to perfection, he shone the brightest in this school even outclassing several other classmates and fellow colleagues though also persecuting himself, Beyond Birthday was forced to follow L's shadow along with his other colleagues, the pressure of this caused his close friend known as A (real name unknown) to commit suicide.
Beyond Birthday later grew tired of this, he left the orphanage and went to live in Amegakure, the pressure caused him to go crazy. He decided instead of trying to just be L's successor he started to imitate L's personality, copying traits and quirks unique to L, even going to lengths no other human would go to, and with his Uchiha blood and curse of hatred it just drove him further to become the worlds greatest criminal, and serial killer. He wants to make a case that even L cannot solve.
