Better than Naruto?

I would say Naruto is the best. Great story and twist doesn't feel like it was made up as the show went on, lot of likeable characters, badass action.

DBZ tbh as I look back on it wasn't tht good. Story was boring and made up as it went along, OP characters that could blow up the Earth anytime yet didn't all good guy got revived. I loved that show but now I can say it's overrted.

-_- are you serious? DBZ was my fav back in the day no one could tell me shyt about it but now that I look back it wasn't that good. Every "good" fight was the same and there was no plot twist. As a person whos fav anime was dbz plz respect my opinion I know DBZ has influence Naruto, it influenced alot of anime but still. It was predictable, for some reason the OP villians, No good guys stayed dead cause they will just get wished back. Looking back on this I realized it's not that good at the time it didn't think so but I do now.

It depends on what you're looking for. I've been reading the Naruto manga since middle school and I must say that in terms of story line, it definitely is top notch (One Piece is also up there)And trust me, I've read and watched A Lot of manga and anime. In terms just good anime, I think Death Note, FMA Brotherhood, Code Geass, FLCL, Samurai Champloo, Darker than Black, and even Gantz can be seen as better than Naruto, but I think the main reason for that is the fact that they're a lot shorter (in terms of anime). Naruto has it's ups and downs but the overall story(manga wise ) is pretty good. I don't really like the anime and stopped watching quite some time ago because it basically kills the imagination and portrays Naruto as not a serious storyline. But if you only read the manga, it's insane how serious the manga feels. Maybe it's just my own imagination at work though.

And DBZ isn't better at all. I used to be a hardcore fan, but DBZ doesn't have enough character development and basically went off the cliff after the Cell Sage. It would have been better if Goku Died in the Frieza Saga (permanently), Vegita in the Frieza Saga (or Buu Saga) and Piccolo in the Cell Saga after reuniting with Kami and traing Gohan then dying like a Boss, and from there allowing the story to follow Gohan. No wishing people back. That in particular killed the anime. That and always allowing Goku to return stronger than everyone else and leaving the fight to him.

Ask me this question 5 years ago I would be saying DBZ is the best believe me. I was watching it on tv a few weeks ago and I was saying "this isn't as good as I thought it was and was thinking about all BS and predictable things. I would think we can all agree the story didn't have much twist and it was predictable. I probably stuck remembering on the story now and not the action ya know? I will say this DBZ will alway be the most popular and stuff and more respected. It's like the pioneer of mangas but on a favorite stand point it isn't my favorite.....anymore.

You cant argue with FACT. You said that Dbz is lame and BORING? it was before its time and was one of a kind... I respect your opinion but you should respect the fact that the majority of Anime fans know that Dbz ****s on Naruto anyday of the week as a show and Manga

Yes. our perspective changes as we grow up. I like DBZ those days because of the awesome fight scenes.
But as we grew older, we realized that there's more than just that.
Son Goku taught me nothing.
Naruto taught me about keeping words and valuing friendship.

Honestly you can't compare Naruto to other anime which others have suggested, namely Code Geass. I mean of course it's better, but they're different genres, it's like trying to compare Dragon Ball Z or Yu Yu Hakusho to something like Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun. But you need to admit, Naruto has it's niche which makes it great. I mean, I'm not calling it the quality of something like Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, but it's got a large audience for a reason, and that's because it's good.

DBZ will always have its place in History because the impact it had on the Anime Universe, but DBZ is like that old school Sports Player that goes down as one of the greatest, but wouldn't stand a chance if it came out in today's world with the same story. The best traits DBZ had was the fighting and transformations, but that's what lead to its demise. Repetitive fighting and one sayian transformation after brought down how legit a super sayian was. And they gave all this credit to sayians, but the only sayian who ever put up a fight was Goku. Everyone else got their butts kicked. And considering the fact that sayians come back from a battle stronger means Vegita should have surpassed Goku ages ago. But noooo, even after 2 deaths here comes the only one who can save the world. He'll even Gohan had surpassed him but was weak again by the Buu saga.
