A genre doesn't dominate everything a series will do. What ended up happening was that Kishi made a conflict to spawn a moral lesson, only that the conflict that started the lesson wasn't true, kind of making the story behind the lesson pointless. To expect Sakura being the real mother was to expect a cop-out (though it happened, and indicators were there).

Remember at the start of the series the whole "hardworker underdog that can beat the geniuses" moral story? Especifically Naruto, yes?

And then Kishi suddenly makes the Uzumaki clan OP and Naruto the genius child of prophecy... /facepalm

Kishi not always "goes to prove the moral lesson right", he only goes with the most exciting -if WTF- storyline he can provide and that´s all.

Sarada being Sakura's was so painfully obvious it saddens me how many people couldn't see it. I told them for 10 weeks (or closer to about 6 months if you count those who believed it at chapter 700).
