I started to write my fanfic with the goal to give the NB users something they could read while waiting for the weekly manga to come out.
I win prizes everytime i post a new sequel, those prizes are the comments, and thanks' of the readers saying that they enjoyed it and are looking forward to read more. Those are the rewards that I treasure the most.
I started this fanfic with a moment of pure inspiration from a thread that I created, and i would like to see my work rewarded.
Though I agree that people would begin writing forced fanfics just aiming for popularity as you said. The fanfic section would lose its brilliance.
This competition is a complicated issue.
