Are you serious? This is garbage compared to even J Cole Wet Dreamz. Drake don't even write his own music. All Drake is is a catchy beat and a hook, a singing ***** smh

That's your opinion. In my opinion j cole is **** boring lyrically.

Comparing it to wet dreams based on what. Yes he told a story. Did he do anything special lyrically in that song? No. I've got all hus albums just like i've got all of drakes.

Suggesting drake can't at least hokd his own lyrically with anyone makes you sound like you've just listened to hus radio shit

You need something?

u still can't see my word play ? Lol

Eyyy

I don't know if Bones would categorize himself as cloud rap, but he does capture some aspects of it, which is why I like him. Cloud rap is like the Dream pop of rap, but I wish it was as well-established as dream pop. Something that I have found missing from rap that could give it another dimension is atmosphere. Dem ethereal dreamscapes doe

He def pulls some influences from it, it's part of the movement to me at least. Even if he doesn't wanna categorize within it, cloud rap def laid the way for him to do what he does. and It certainly is, but just much younger than dream pop. Cloud rap is a byproduct of the booming internet saturation, and it's demand. Now people are able to take things to where they weren't previously "Allowed" to go. Now we got dem Ethereal dreamscape sounds, and sometimes vaporware type aesthetics as well haha

Currently it's El-P.

Woah, I wasn't gonna go to the third page, but I'm glad I did. You just dropped something on them that they wasn't even prepared for. You know these dudes don't listen to real rap.

@Slim, we had this debate in another thread, but J. Cole is lyrically better than Drake. It isn't even a debate. J. Cole has mixtapes lyrically better than any Drake album B.

Hey, Cole World, make way for the chosen one
What you now hear is puttin’ fear in all the older ones
Downplayed me to downgrade me like they don’t notice son
Your shoes too big too fill? I can barely squeeze my toes in ‘em
F*cking hoes while teachin' n*ggas to hold your sons
This the rap Moses, scratch that, Mary and Joseph’s son
High as f*ck with a cold flow and a loaded gun
Never say I’m better than Hov', but I’m the closest one
Heard you lookin’ for trouble, what, I’m ‘sposed to run?
Yo’ ****** invited me inside her, ain’t I supposed to come?
Got n*ggas that’ll blow your tee off, put a hole in one
Now you outside of Heaven’s gate, frontin’ like you know someone
Talking hard, but y’all still ain’t push me
They say you are what you eat, and I still ain’t p*ssy
F*ck it, e’rybody can get it
When you’re this hot, e'rybody’s a critic
But when you’re this high e'rybody’s a midget
All this mean mugging from n*ggas that mean nothin'
Could it be my position is one that you dreamed of?
Went from quarter to broke to half past rich
With my badass *****
And you don’t want no problems on some math class shit
So check the young genius out
F*ck the world, bust a nut, and let my semen sprout
I thought that real shit is what you been fiendin' ’bout
What you been praying fo’? What you been screamin' ’bout?
Ironic you been sleeping on the one that you been dreamin' ’bout

The sad thing is, half of this will go over your head.

Commercially it is Eminem, but that is obvious.
The rawest is Cage.
Flow wise it is R.A. the Rugged Man.
Lyrically it was Eyedea. Currently it is Sadistik.

You just proved you need a catchy beat and a good hook to keep you interested. No matter how much you say it, being talented lyrically is not subjective, and Drake is not talented lyrically, some people like soldier boy, does that mean he's talented lyrically? No! like I said, he doesn't even write his own music, Drake is garbage! J Cole and Kendrick are true lyricist, you just don't know good music, plus I have 3 of Drakes albums, including his very first one, he just isn't that talented! HE DOESN'T WRITE HIS OWN MUSIC!

Hate this song, thought it'd be good at he beginning until I heard him "rapping".
This style is really just not for me.

Definitely don't know who's the best white rapper, but I'd like to mention Eyedea. He's an amazing freestyler.

I didn't prove anything. I admit that Kendrick is lyrically superior, I just don't see it from J cole.

And I didn't know you were in the studio with drake

"I didn't know you were in the studio with Drake."

lmao I don't need to be, he's already admitted that he lets people "help" create his lyrics lol
