This solo was pretty great. The introduction to Sasuke and he solos his team.

It may not be the most impressive solo, but it was the best introduction imo.

Madara begs to differ.

Meh, I would say that, at their respective points in the manga, Sasuke meant more.

Main character being introduced after years of hiatus, and he proceeds to almost kill the other main characters? Yeah, that's pretty badass.

Well, for me since I didn't read the manga yet.

Disagree. Madara Uchiha's appearance was far more impactful IMO. Its the first time we see someone whose build up had started all the way back, 350 chapters ago. And a very important someone at that. What does he do next? Outclass everyone we've seen up to date by destroying anything that stood in his path.

It was expected. Everything he did was expected. No one was surprised by what Madara did because he had already received so much hype.

Also, he wasn't built up from 350 chapters ago because everyone thought Obito was Madara.

Sasuke's entrance was not expected. No one knew what would happen, and no one expected for Sasuke to outclass his entire team as a whole.

Anyway, Sasuke's introduction solo was the best imo, and I don't think arguing over which introduction was objectively better is really worth it.

People expected Sasuke to be strong. Orochimaru had said so earlier already. People also expected to be strong. The difference is that no one expected him to be THAT strong....

Though on hindsight, I think both of these can't compare to Itachi's introduction as to how much of a gamechanger that was in its entirety, so I'm siding with that.

I'd have to say best solo of the series is when Itachi soloed Orochimaru with one glance. Orochimaru was the biggest villain of the series and terrifying at the time, unrivaled in strength by just about any single person and the dude could bring back the dead. Then just to show how badass Itachi is, the dude soloed Orochimaru without ever taking his hands out of his pockets. No solo was more intense than that one imo

Shouldn't the best Solo be the one that was the quickest and the least effortless to achieve?
If this requirement is fulfilled then Itachi takes this one. It's the one with Orochimaru as he was a stronger character than Kakashi and Deidara and Itachi in fact used less effort to defeat him then he used against Kakashi and Deidara.

It depends on what you are looking for in a solo. Some want the effortless and quick, others like me want a full on demonstration of how big a gap between two characters really is. Something Itachi is really good at whenever he feels like using more than just simple Genjutsu.
