Best Shounen Protagonist?

In your opinion, who is the best protagonist in Shounen manga? IMO...well, I don't know. Really liked early Ichigo, but as time went by, he kinda lost his steez. Don't know if anyone else really stands out that much from the crowd...un;ess I'm forgetting someone anyway. Well, anyway, what do you think?

In terms of typical shōnen, Edward from FMA is, hands-down. The majority of the rest are just clones of Goku.

Of anything considered part of the genre, definitely Light from Death Note. Character development is too damn good.
