Favourite is probably kakashi.
I like him because he is always doing awesome stuff.
The fact that he is a complete mystery makes him different.
I don't know about what I want his role to be, I'll leave that to kishi xd

Minato is my favourite, He was one of the most powerful shinobi to walk the earth, what makes him different is the technique's he developed such as the Flying thunder god technique and the rasengan, not to mention he went one on one with the nine tailed fox while it was at full power, and even after death managed to speak to his son and pass on his wisdom, and gave naruto a chance to see his mother for the first time, He is so badass

He's did so much for his village and swapped love for hate and even after all this he died with a smile on his face.
He will stop edo tensei, **** kabuto up, then seal himself using the totsuka sword. (that sealing sword is acutally perfect for the legendary genjutsu user to not only die by his own tech but will be stuck in a genjutsu world forever)
