Here is my attempt list for Top 5 current point gaurd in NBA.
1.chris paul a.ka. Cp3.
2.Derick rose(i knw he is injured right but still he makes my top 2)
3.rojan rondo
4.kyrie irving
5.russell westbrook.

i would say russel westbrook. if you don't count the njured and the old ones. i you ask best active? i d say jason kidd in his prime.
if you ask pure pg. i'd say nash in his prime and paul.

I dont count Russell Westbrook or Stephon Curry as point guards. Theyre combo guards that bring the ball up.

But he could easily be tied with CP3 for the best right now

It really depends on how the team is constructed, if the team is looking for and old school point guard(assist 1st mentally) then my pick would have to be cp3 and a close 2nd would go to rondo.
If the team lacks offensive arsenal, hands down to a healthy Derrick Rose.
