[Discussion] Best one piece plot twist you can think of

You know, that I think about it, you can work it pretty well actually. There are a few things. Dragon is the son of Garp, that much is fact. Also, Shanks joined Roger's crew and Roger was not known to have any children besides Ace. So Shanks and Dragon are definitely not brothers nor are they the children of Roger.

However, they can be "brothers" in the sake of brotherly bonds like Luffy, Ace, and Sabo. This can work. Also, if that is the case, the reason Shanks is so fond of Luffy the way you explained is plausible. So if you take out what I said before, the rest of your theory works.

Basically, the plot twist would be the Shanks and Dragon are brothers because they shared some sake which parallels how Luffy, Ace, and Sabo became brothers

Hmmmm... Totally forgot about Garp and Ace being Dragon's kid.

Them not being biological brothers would take down the significance/plausibility of Shanks being a D, but it seems like everyone is D, so why not? lol And Shanks is uber good with Haki and has Conqueror's Haki, so possibly. And we don't know his full name, correct?

You are correct in saying that his name has not yet been revealed. Also, there aren't really that many characters when you think about it who have D. as there middle name.

Despite this, it seems highly unlikely that Shanks and Dragon are "brothers". However, that just makes it more of a plot twist

Also, history has more "creativity"? Wouldn't that imply that it is false. If that's the case, it wouldn't really be history, but mythology

Whether you believe a transcendental being preordained the fate and turbulence of the world or rather it was inevitable as we humans are complex mechanisms in a complex system nonetheless history is replete with the full gambit of interesting stories, dastardly villains, inspiring stories and all other riveting things that add to a great story. Why do you think every renowned fictional artist derives ideas from history (JK Rowling used a lot of Biblical allegories which many Christians believe to be 100% historical! Shakespeare had 10 history plays not including Julius Caesar, Oda borrowed a lot of Occidental history, etc.)

OT: 1) I like that one, it really explains why Akainu has such distaste for Luffy too
2) Not really a plot twist, in fact is a relatively agreed upon prediction
3) Never considered them immortals. 800 years, that's something, but you think there would be more emphasis on that fruit like the Ope Ope no Mi

After that Ivankov atr the Horu Horu no mi and turned herself to a man or she turned to a guy from the effects of the fruit. And she lost her memories and anyone who knew her forgets her, and she (as a guy) becomes apart of the revolutionary army.

I know you've heard theory of Shiliew defeating Mihawk in the future and becoming the world strongest man. I think it would be fitting if he had Buggy's fruit while obtaining this title

Reason being, In a sport like boxing they depict the perfect fighter as someone who is able to "hit and not get hit" and I think that the strongest swordsmen should have the power to "cut and not get cut"
