that was an extremist action to prevent a war. whether the village survives isnt really itachis priority anyway as he let obito and nagato do whatever they want. itachi ensured konoha got blown to pieces. more importantly, genocide is never justfied especially when trying to cloak it in "for the good of many"

Danzo(his actions are bad but his intentions are good. He will do anything for Konoha) \

danzo is a monstrous selfish psychopathic murderer.he abandoned konoha to death and destruction so his goals of enacting a coup could succeed

Itachi deserves the most respect for what he's done for the village,

itachi is a Brutal insane murderous traitor who couldnt care less about konoha. he defied, blackmailed and betrayed his superiors, tried to murder kakashi in cold blood, attacked and brutalised sasuke who is an innocent citizen, and turned him into a bloodthirsty psychopath, and ensured his entire home got destroyed by akatsuki by aiding their efforts and not even trying to stop them.
moreover he allowed the almost death of naruto just so his brother could gain power from it.

Come on Itachi killed his whole clan. For his village.

and then he helped kill the village for akatsuki
