The best movie i have seen at the cinema this year wasnt even released this year, I was a bit late so I saw Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows this year in January and so far it has been the best this year. All movies this year were a major letdown and are highly overrated:
The Hunger Games ... SUCKED!
The Avengers ... extremely overrated and overrhyped but fun to watch
spiderman ... didnt expect much to begin with, not bad but definitely not among the best
Wrath Of The Titans ... was a failure
however there is the Dictator which was good, but still not my fav, I also enjoyed the new Ice Age

but I expect that will change with The Dark Knight Rises, The Great Gatsby and The Hobbit

Spiderman is probably my favourite, as my buzz about the Avengers is gone and I saw Spiderman recently. My favourite film of the year next week however, will be the Dark Knight Rises ;)

even if Avengers earned the most it doesnt mean they are the best

just remember bieber earns a lot too
Epic facepalm - How can someone compare Avengers to Justin BieBer? Bieber's movies appears to people with zero music taste and to fangirls only.

Avengers may not be the most quality movie out there but it's appealing and entertaining to all group ages.

Personally, Avengers were great. Not better than Dark Knight but wonderfully entertaining.

Didn't get to see Amazing Spiderman yet since it hasn't been released here yet. :(

Dark Knight Rises is gonna be E P I C.

American Reunion was highly nostalgic. Wished it was more comedic but the old-charm factor was really cool.

Sherlock Holmes 2 was great but I prefer the first one.

Project X and Chronicle are the two best surprises of 2012.

Hunger Games was a mere one-time watch for me, since I never read the books.

MIB 3 and Clash of Titans 2 disappointed.

I'm hearing great things about Prometheus but I'm not really into Aliens movies, so I'm skeptical on whether to see it or not. Most likely, I'll see it on Blu-Ray.

Hobbit got great potential but I don't think it'll be as good as the other LOTR movies.

Lopper sounds like a great upcoming movie.

The Expendables 2 won't be great at all story-wise but it's gonna be fun to see Arnold, JCVD, Norris, Jet Li, Statham, Stallone, Willis, Dolph, ect... all on the same screen. It feels like a tribute with bad plot but great action.

Wanted 2, Kick-Ass 2 & Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters got postponed to my disappointment.

I haven't been to cinema much this year, but of all the movies I've watched I'll have to single out The Avengers.
I'm watching Spidey tonight, and I'm yet to watch Batsy...
