Vice city - best character imo, best soundtrack, atmosphere
San andreas - i dont need to explain.
GTA IV - too much fun on multiplayer one of the funniest communities to play with, somewhat dickish, and well **** the modders.

Vice city stories was very good and GTA 3 was the first game that i bought and played. But vice city was the first gta i ever played but didnt own.

I only played GTA III, a little Vice City, only did one mission, I almost beat GTA San Andreas

3 is still my favourite cuz childhood but talking strictly gameplay SA kills the other 2.

As close as it is between Vice City and San Andreas, I have to go with Vice City. I only played through III one time and I don't remember much about it.
