Best character in the Hunter Exam Arc

As you all know, the Hunter Exam arc is the starting of this phenomenal series and is one of the most fascinating arcs. There are a lot of great characters introduced in the arc such as: Killua, Hisoka, Illumi, Netero, etc. However, the one character that made this arc more memorable is:
Tonpa

He is the conniving saboteur who stops at nothing to break rookies. He lives for it; he gets thrills from making people fail and doesn't care at all for passing the exam himself.

He is a mastermind who happend to be the fifth member of our heroes' group and he made their journey a lot harder. He put doubts between Leorio and the rest as he knew that Leorio was getting angry and suspicious.

He would have succeeded if not for Gon's brilliant thinking near the end.

Therefore, Tonpa is one of those characters that is so good at making the fan hate him that you appreciate how well he is written for his particular role. This arc is an exam that is vital to becoming a hunter and Tonpa stood in almost everyone's way. He deserves praise and admiration for his ambition to crush the competition and break their will.

He wasn't significant in the development of the main Characters. The arc could have happened without him. He adds too much comic relief and his design is so stupid that it contributes to the misconception that HxH is for little kids.

I laughed so much at those Tonpa moments. But I disagree that Tonpa was the best character in the ARC. Leorio will always be my Fav

Hisoka was great.

Ilummi's debut was also well done. I really liked hanzo too. He is definitely a character that got little screen time, but you can tell he will be back to aid the hunters. Togashi does such a great job with characters that it's hard to pick one.

Hanzo. I agree Hisoka was really good, but the OP is right Tonpa was a perfectly executed character. Killua was really impressive then too.
