Wow. That's just absolutely not true.

How so? Give me the materials and the time and I could paint the mona lisa. It's just detail and concentration. Other people can then draw the same thing. A copy of a copy of a copy. You can't recreate the emotion in say a concert. You can come close and create something incredibly similar to it, but those exact emotions can't be recreated. You look at a painting or a monument and it's the same feeling. With the exception of existential paintings (which ARE the emotions of a single moment) paintings and sculptures don't have much room for interpretation. We all feel varying degrees of the same. A live performance brings out entirely different emotions in a plethora of people and can't be recreated. That's art.

Is a concert not the instrumentalist's interpretation of the composer's score? How is this not different than each individual person's interpretation of say Da Vinci's "The Last Supper?"

Deidara's view is that art is the fact that the same thing can never be recreated. A quote comes to mind that Greek Gods were jealous of human's because the world is a much more beautiful place when you know you will only be on it for a limited amount of time.

I see where you are coming from, but even if you took your entire life and repainted the Mona Lisa, it would be as you said, "You can come close and create something incredibly similar to it." It will never be the same, no matter how similar it is.

They are very conflicting views, and i see the merits of both, but i personally believe that art lasts eternally for all to view and behold.

I like Sasori. But I would tie with Sasori and Deidara.

art isn't about being in the moment, it's about expression. if that takes 20 years to finish, then that's what it takes.
