Wow. That's just absolutely not true.
How so? Give me the materials and the time and I could paint the mona lisa. It's just detail and concentration. Other people can then draw the same thing. A copy of a copy of a copy. You can't recreate the emotion in say a concert. You can come close and create something incredibly similar to it, but those exact emotions can't be recreated. You look at a painting or a monument and it's the same feeling. With the exception of existential paintings (which ARE the emotions of a single moment) paintings and sculptures don't have much room for interpretation. We all feel varying degrees of the same. A live performance brings out entirely different emotions in a plethora of people and can't be recreated. That's art.
