[Discussion] Best arc in One Piece?

Tho, I've only read till the Post-War Arc, in my opinion, Marineford Arc is the best arc of One Piece. Luffy ****ing shit up, having the balls to go against 3 Admirals at once, 2 major characters dying, Luffy and Ace fighting side by side, Blackbeard gaining 2 devil fruit powers at once, Whitebeard dying like a manly man, Shanks single handedly stopping Akainu's lava fist, disturbance in the Three Great Powers, and a lot more! So much epicness! Next comes the Impel Down arc. What is your favorite?

I made a list of my 10 favorite One Piece Arcs. Just choosing 10 out of so many great ones is tough but I think these deserve to be in the top 10.

The eleventh would be the Return to Sabaody Arc, just wanted to mention it because I really wanted it to be in the top 10.

10.

10. Loguetown Arc (Ch. 96-100)

Imo one of the more underrated arcs mostly because it is a short one. But it is a very good one with the first appearance of Dragon (and Smoker). Loguetown is in my mind the ''start'' of the OP story with the 100th chapter even bearing the title: ''The Legend Begins'' (also the first appearance of Dragon), the first 99 chapters I regard as the ''set-up'' for the core of the SH crew and therefore one of the foundations of the story. It was the town of Roger's execution and Luffy's smile before his ''execution'' is the first significant similarity between them imo (though I don't think they are parallel characters). It i also supposedly the arc in which we get a glimpse of Dragon's power. We get to see Luffy's Marine rival Smoker (and with him the first Logia DF) and we get to see Buggy again (). Not to mention it is the arc Luffy's first bounty is introduced and followed by a brief meeting of Shanks and Mihawk. After the arc ends they go and enter Grand Line. And last but not least in the Dressrosa arc it is revealed that this is the place where Bartolomeo started fanboying after Luffy (the timing imo coincides with many real life fans becoming big fans of OP).

9. Water 7 Arc (Ch. 322-374)

Water 7 is imo a great adventure arc, I like the feel of exploring a new city, especially since it looks awesome and it's concept is great. W7 is based on Venice, imo one of the most beautiful cities on earth. Water 7 also has the one split in the crew when usopp leaves the SHs due to Going Marry and we get a heartfelt battle between Luffy and Usopp. We get to see the crew dealing with Usopp leaving. We get introduced to CP-9 and teh entire W7 is an epic setup for an even more epic arc. After Usopp leaving we also see Robin leaving, first we are not aware why but we soon get the first real conflict between the WG and the SHs. We see some of the corruption in the WG. We find out more about Roger, specifically his ship teh Oro Jackson. The walk to Franky house and the rage of usopp's Nakama. We get introduced to Franky and his past. The Aqua Laguna and Zor sruck in the Chimney and Luffy between two buildings was very memorable too . But finally we leave the city with Rocketman, the 2nd train. Above all we get the introduction to SOGEKING! And en route to EL we get some great action.

8. Sabaody Archipelago Arc (Ch. 490-513)

Sabaody Archipelago started completely different than it ended. In the Arc we got introduced to teh Celestial Dragons and slavery still in some places of the OP world. The arc was very good at getting you pissed at the WG. And ofc the very satisfying punch of the CD by the end provided by Luffy. We also got introduced to the 11 supernovas (well, 9 really, 2 we already knew), Rayleigh the right arm of Roger the PK and Kizaru the 2nd Admiral. First look at Conq Haki. The action was crazy with the Pacifista and Kizaru wrecking everything and at the end we get SHs v a Pacifista and Rayleigh v Kizaru. The arc ends with the SHs being split up by Kuma.

Alabasta was the first big arc in OP and remained one of my fav all the way through. Baroque works was awesome and Crocodile is one of my all time fav OP (and manga) characters. It was an adventure in an egyptian/oriental country (which I love). It introduced Luffy's brother Ace and that entire scene with Luffy meeting Ace (and Smoker) was one of my all time fav. All the battles were superb and all the fights between Luffy and Crocodile are imo to this day some of the best fights in OP. It was a great story of a quintessential villain mastermind trying to take over a country, the plan was great and the villains on point but got thwarted by our Heroes and along the way we got introduced to a poneglyph, an ancient weapon, the true history and most importantly, our next Namaka ... Robin. The end with them parting with Vivi is one of the most iconic scenes in OP.

6. Punk Hazard Arc (654-699)

Punk Hazard is a fantastic arc that sadly has a bi of a bad name due to the ''anime pacing'' and ''running''. The Arc starts with the SHs finally entering the NW. After entering the island of half ice, half fire we find out it's the place Aokiji and Akainu had their battle for the top spot of the Marines. We also get to see Law again and get an epic Law v Smoker. The villain of the Arc gets established as an annoying, evil crazy scientist experimenting on children, his shururururururu makes Luffy's punches in his face that more satisfying. The second big enemy in the arc is Vergo, a VA working for Joker who we find out is Foflamingo. We get some more info on Vegapunk. Law explains the Underworld. We get to know that there are artificial DFs being manufactured and that that a Yonko has an army of Zoans. Law and Luffy establish a pirate alliance as well as Kid, Apoo and Hawkins. We get a few great battles with Luffy v Ceasar, Zoro v Monet, Sanji v Vergo and Smoker and later Law v Vergo. In his battle with Vergo Law slices the island and gives a great speech. But the best part is the ending with Doflamingo supposedly resigning form the Sichibukai and being pised, he decides to show up at PH and attacks Smoker but is stopped by none other than Aokiji.

Enies Lobby is a great arc, especially for action and Robins character development. We grt to find out Robins past in a very sad and very important flashback about Ohara. We get to see Akainu and Aokiji. The fights that follow after SHs declare war on WG in one of the most epic scenes in manga (I want to live!) are just ... OMG! Luffy v Lucci is still many ppls fav fight in OP, it featured Sogeking and all the SHs doing their fair share. We get to see the methods the WG uses. It introduces Luffy's gers, Diable Jambe, Asura, Choppers monster point, ... The Arc ends in a buster call and Going Marry carrying the SHs one last time, followed by one of the saddest scenes in OP with the burning of Going Merry.

I think this arc too is underrated. It is a great arc after MF war that shows us the flashback of the 3 brothers Luffy, Sabo and Ace. We get to see a changing of the era and the aftermath of the WB war and the shifting great powers. We see Shanks and Marco burring Ace and WB. We see a glimse of the NW, the SH side stories of the TS, we see Akainu chasing BB, Rayleigh meeting with Luffy and suggesting the TS, we see Sengoku and Garp resigning and we get our first look at Kong. The 3 forms of Haki are introduced. And the arc finishes with the 2 year TS ending part 1 of OP.

3. Dressrosa Arc (chapter 700-current)

The first real island of the NW, Dressrosa, Doflamingo's kingdom. The arc starts of with a Blast ... the Navy HQ, confirmation of Buggy being a Sichibuki, a glimpse of Akainu and the dispatching of Fujitora. After that we find out Doflamingo has the Mera Mera No Mi. In the are we get introduced to the Tontatta or Dwarves. We see the new Admiral and his powers, the best villain so far (other than MF, but there was no real villain there anyway) Doflamingo and the Mera Mera No Mi is the prize of the coloseum tournament. We get a ton of introductions and awesome fights. We find out Law has a connection to Doflamingo. And as though an admiral wasn't enough, 3 yonko are involved: BM, BB and Kaido ... and after that even the Revs show up, and ofc ... SABO!!! The only reason Dressrosa is in third place is that it's not finished yet, it has a great advantage over MF ... all the SHs are involved. If the ending is just to the content we got so far this will jump to my no. 1 spot.

The most underrated arc imo. After the EL arc Garp arrives and is revealed to be Luffy's grandfather and a hero of the marines, he also mentions that Monkey D Dragon is Luffy's father. Garp also explains what the Yokno are and that Shanks is one of them. the term ''New World'' is first used. We get a glimpse of Mariejoes talking about an upcoming meeting between 2 yonko. In this arc there is also a meeting between WB and Shanks. The SHs get a new ship the Thousand Sunny and a new Nakama, as well as the new bounties. At the end Garp hunts the SHs, Usopp rejoins, Ace catches up to BB and we get a glimpse of Dragon. This was THE arc of OP verse information overload!

All the battles were superb and all the fights between Luffy and Crocodile are imo to this day some of the best fights in OP. It was a great story of a quintessential villain mastermind trying to take over a country, the plan was great and the villains on point but got thwarted by our Heroes and along the way we got introduced to a poneglyph, an ancient weapon, the true history and most importantly, our next Namaka ... Robin. The end with them parting with Vivi is one of the most iconic scenes in OP.

6. Punk Hazard Arc (654-699)

Punk Hazard is a fantastic arc that sadly has a bi of a bad name due to the ''anime pacing'' and ''running''. The Arc starts with the SHs finally entering the NW. After entering the island of half ice, half fire we find out it's the place Aokiji and Akainu had their battle for the top spot of the Marines. We also get to see Law again and get an epic Law v Smoker. The villain of the Arc gets established as an annoying, evil crazy scientist experimenting on children, his shururururururu makes Luffy's punches in his face that more satisfying. The second big enemy in the arc is Vergo, a VA working for Joker who we find out is Foflamingo. We get some more info on Vegapunk. Law explains the Underworld. We get to know that there are artificial DFs being manufactured and that that a Yonko has an army of Zoans. Law and Luffy establish a pirate alliance as well as Kid, Apoo and Hawkins. We get a few great battles with Luffy v Ceasar, Zoro v Monet, Sanji v Vergo and Smoker and later Law v Vergo. In his battle with Vergo Law slices the island and gives a great speech. But the best part is the ending with Doflamingo supposedly resigning form the Sichibukai and being pised, he decides to show up at PH and attacks Smoker but is stopped by none other than Aokiji.

Enies Lobby is a great arc, especially for action and Robins character development. We grt to find out Robins past in a very sad and very important flashback about Ohara. We get to see Akainu and Aokiji. The fights that follow after SHs declare war on WG in one of the most epic scenes in manga (I want to live!) are just ... OMG! Luffy v Lucci is still many ppls fav fight in OP, it featured Sogeking and all the SHs doing their fair share. We get to see the methods the WG uses. It introduces Luffy's gers, Diable Jambe, Asura, Choppers monster point, ... The Arc ends in a buster call and Going Marry carrying the SHs one last time, followed by one of the saddest scenes in OP with the burning of Going Merry.

4. Post-War Arc (Ch. 581-597)

I think this arc too is underrated. It is a great arc after MF war that shows us the flashback of the 3 brothers Luffy, Sabo and Ace. We get to see a changing of the era and the aftermath of the WB war and the shifting great powers. We see Shanks and Marco burring Ace and WB. We see a glimse of the NW, the SH side stories of the TS, we see Akainu chasing BB, Rayleigh meeting with Luffy and suggesting the TS, we see Sengoku and Garp resigning and we get our first look at Kong. The 3 forms of Haki are introduced. And the arc finishes with the 2 year TS ending part 1 of OP.

3. Dressrosa Arc (chapter 700-current)

The first real island of the NW, Dressrosa, Doflamingo's kingdom. The arc starts of with a Blast ... the Navy HQ, confirmation of Buggy being a Sichibuki, a glimpse of Akainu and the dispatching of Fujitora. After that we find out Doflamingo has the Mera Mera No Mi. In the are we get introduced to the Tontatta or Dwarves. We see the new Admiral and his powers, the best villain so far (other than MF, but there was no real villain there anyway) Doflamingo and the Mera Mera No Mi is the prize of the coloseum tournament. We get a ton of introductions and awesome fights. We find out Law has a connection to Doflamingo. And as though an admiral wasn't enough, 3 yonko are involved: BM, BB and Kaido ... and after that even the Revs show up, and ofc ... SABO!!! The only reason Dressrosa is in third place is that it's not finished yet, it has a great advantage over MF ... all the SHs are involved. If the ending is just to the content we got so far this will jump to my no. 1 spot.

The most underrated arc imo. After the EL arc Garp arrives and is revealed to be Luffy's grandfather and a hero of the marines, he also mentions that Monkey D Dragon is Luffy's father. Garp also explains what the Yokno are and that Shanks is one of them. the term ''New World'' is first used. We get a glimpse of Mariejoes talking about an upcoming meeting between 2 yonko. In this arc there is also a meeting between WB and Shanks. The SHs get a new ship the Thousand Sunny and a new Nakama, as well as the new bounties. At the end Garp hunts the SHs, Usopp rejoins, Ace catches up to BB and we get a glimpse of Dragon. This was THE arc of OP verse information overload!
