Best Animated Episodes?

I've always noticed that at key battles the animation quality of the Naruto anime completely changes. It goes from clear outlines, sharp angles and stiff forms to softer hues, negligible outlines and fluid fast motion. I wish the whole anime could be drawn like these fights! They feel so natural and flow so well.

Now that Naruto is coming to a close I thought it'd be fun to try to find and talk about these peculiarly drawn episodes. The only ones I can think of doing this are:

1) Sarutobi vs the previous Homage
2) The original Sasuke vs Naruto battle, pre-shippuuden
3) Sasuke vs Bee, especially during their sword fight
4) Jiraiya vs Pein, look at the summoning battle
5) Naruto vs Pein, towards the very end the style gets extremely loose
6) Madara vs shinobi alliance, Madara's first fight against the alliance, as he shreds through them with fists and swords
7) Kakashi vs Obito, when they have their last duke out in the shadow dimension.

So two questions for NB:

Are there any other fights that share this animation style that I missed?

Which is your personal favorite and why?

I thought the kushina flashback was decent. Plus madara vs the fodder army

And yeah I agree! I wish that they used that style of animation for the whole anime..

Also the power filler arc was really good.

I thought the Jiraiya vs pain was rather good. Also, Sasuke vs the gokage was pretty neat, so was Konan vs tobi.

If you play Madara vs shinobi alliance slowly you will notice how shit the quality is up close when hes doing hand to hand combat and the animation.

also the 1st part of sasuke vs deidara
sasuke vs oro in part 1(around ep 30ish) chunin exams in forest
tobi vs konan
one of the shika and co vs hidan kakuzu
and one of the sasuke vs danzo eps
all i can remember of the top of my head

I think I jizzed when I witnessed a Hokage level battle, that will always remain the first and top, beautiful music, the mysticism of these unknown kage, and the sub-par performance of Sarutobi because he was past his prime but still brought us some jutsus. Loved Monkey King Enma, I agree with OP.

Sarutobi will always be the strongest ninja the leaf village ever witnessed.
