In any matter dealing with a personal belief, from Favorite items, to morals, to religion to politics. You have to understand that the person who carries their belief has done so because to them, it has become the foundation of their reality. Sure you can try to dissuade them that their belief is wrong using anything you can think of, but that won't likely change what they believe. Can you really dissuade someone who loves to eat watermelons to suddenly start hating them? Not very likely, belief structure is formed in the mind, and is ruled by a persons perception of reality. The only way a person can change their viewpoint on a subject is when that viewpoint loses its value in their life. Their is no one cause to why this event happens, people can claim something like an epiphany, however I believe it is something different. When changing beliefs or losing a belief, why is that? Think back to when you hear a new song or watch a new show and you think that it is amazing. However after just a little bit of time it suddenly loses its worth. Your belief that the show was awesome is has faded and has been reduced to just being "ok" The same way could be said about beliefs, if you don't practice them, or if you don't add to them, or if you stop caring about them, they can become dull or boring. Not all people lose their beliefs like this, but I think this factor is still applicable in a part of a larger setting. Other factors that may be present in this situation are strains from other sources, which can include messages that go against your beliefs, thus drawing temptation to understand why/how/what others believe so that we can explore and expand on our perception of reality, so that we can not be close-minded on these conflicting ideologies. Many converts in any matter bring up a change in their belief because of the introduction of another belief, that helped stimulate their dwindling feelings for their belief. If I add to the example I used earlier with the song/tv show, we can assume that one can change their mind by being introduced to an even better song/tv show. This may or may not impact a belief it can also serve to resuscitate faith in a dwindling belief, like trying a certain disgusting food, and then doing whatever you can to eliminate that bad taste out of your mouth.

My point in this is that as we examine the causal factors in the changing of belief it is pivotal to understand that the only way a person can change their beliefs is when they feel comfortable, open, and are the ones in control of the experimentation of trying another belief. Like I stated earlier, you can throw entire libraries of evidence at someone, and they still won't believe that belief. We are all bound to what we perceive to be reality and thus we only allow into our reality what we believe to be of merit and worth.

To summarize all of this. I don't understand Pairing fans. Their level of stupidity is over 9,000.

I'm sorry about my bad writing, I am off-key today and have the writing skills of a 2 year old. Zzz
